Have a look at https://www.sternstudios.com if you fancy a laugh. I sold my studio in Kingston for 116k in 2003. The vendors moved things around to make it a 1 bed flat despite being 330 sq ft and put it on the market recently for 175k. Seems to have been sold as well.

The thing is, the ones in posh bits of Central London I can understand - people buy them either because they want to live in Kensington at all costs, even in a matchbox, or because they have silly money and only need somewhere to live for 9 hours a day (7 of which are spent asleep) between Sunday and Thursday.

The thing that always makes me laugh on Stern Studios is the creative use of the word "huge" :rotfl: like the place in Putney that's 17'9'' by 11'8'' :D

And when they say "small"...

It was valued by the council at £70k when I purchased it from them in Jan 2004 - I paid 37K.
The council under valued it at the time by about 5k (they tend to under value as they do not take into consideration any decoration value just the bare walls)

er...........hang on a minute. You bought the place for £37k 3 years ago-you dont think dropping £5-8k off the place to get it sold is worth it? Holy crap you'd still be making about £50k on what is essentially a shoe box. Stop being so greedy and drop the asking price.
