The do call. Did you tell them anything? I would always refuse to give out my personal details over the phone. They may say they are the DWP but could be anyone and now you've just given them all your security details.

  • I did yes, and I realised that when I put the phone down to them. When I checkied online it says that that is there number.

Is it a routine phone call? They said they are sending out forms for me :s

I havent had any phone calls-what benefit do you get?

To make sure i am talking to someone from DWP, i would ask them to confirm my NI number or something like that, just to be on the safe side..although i am not sure they would be able to tell me my own!

  • Hi,

yes I would ask for a couple of random numbers from postcode or NI number.

If it's bogus might be enough for them to just drop the phone.

It could well be the phone-call to start process to switch you from IS to ESA. Why are you on is? Did you get a letter saying that the call was coming and didn't the call say why they'd phoned? If that's what it was the form will arrive in the next two weeks and you will have four weeks to return it.

Then that's not the reason. Most likely just checking your details haven't changed
