I do the same as Porto bello really if I bother to use FLW. I just keep resisting unsold items and adding new things if I have got another box out of the loft. I have actually been doing very well in the past few FLWs , I have been quite surprised at the things I have managed to sell.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I was only able to sell ten items until last week. To increase it I just had to request an increase and they sent me out a letter with a code on it to confirm my address. I entered the code and got increased to 100 listings. Hopefully you'll be able to do this as well.0

Most of my items are uncommon. Each time a FLW, I simply relist anything unsold. Sometimes it can take months to sell them, but eventually, almost everything will sell for a decent price - and sometimes they go for much more than I expected!
That's pretty much what I do.
If it's something nice that I think will sell quite readily, I just go ahead and list.
I use the FLW for re-lists and things which I'm not so sure will sell so quickly.

I agree with previous comments.
Unless you are listing high value items, it would only be pennies that you save, but it means you may be up against far more of the same items.
Supply and demand would therefore lead to lower prices.
I usually avoid the free weekends, but sometimes use them, if an item hasn't sold after my first, or maybe second listing and I just want to try 'one more time' with a starting price above 99p.0 -
I placed my first listing on a free weekend and for some unknown reason started it at 99p as I didnt realise I could have started it for more - hubby thought it was hilarous that I sold some of it for £1.04!
Lesson learnt and I now always use free listing weekends and start the bidding at the minimum I would be prepared to accept. I too was limited to 10 items but just requested more and was increased to 100.
I have some things listed at the moment if they dont sell I will just relist on the next free weekend - it sells eventually.0 -
I haven't got many watching any of the items so far, bar 2 out of 7. And then only 1 for each of 2 Aynsley vases. Got a couple of designer handbags too that I listed today. As it's a 7 day listing there's time. Whatever sells, even if its a few pounds in total is off to my overpayment on the mortgage pot.
Thank you for all your messages and advice. All very useful and appreciated0 -

Some Aynsley is worthless but a couple of patterns do make good money in certain vase styles. It is worth checking out completed listings and if you have a rare pattern making sure you mention that in the title.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've always waited for FLWs... And never had a problem shifting stuff. However, I'm usually DVDs/console/PCgames/books, and they generally seem to sell reasonably well. Particularly xbox games. I seem to get much more for them than I would from the likes of CEX on the highstreet.
Anything that doesn't sell, I just re-list. Sometimes it can take 4 or 5 goes around for something to shift, but it generally does in the end. However, I do have a 5x's limit. If something is listed 5 times (so on sale for 35 days) and doesn't sell, it goes in the charity shop pile. It's pretty clear to me that no one wants it, or is prepared to pay my minimum price.Because it's fun to have money!

I always make the most FLW's, relisting anything that hasn't sold in the past and adding new stuff. In the long run I think you save quite a bit. Once you start selling the amount you can sell in a month will quickly go up. In 9 months I have gone up to 440 items per month.0
