I am in the same situation as you. I had a loan set up with a car craft, but the loan was through black horse. I was wondering if you progressed your case with black horse and how you got on? I was going to send a SAR to Black Horse but before I do I wondered if you we're successful doing this?

    Thanks

Shouldn't you be complaining to carcraft? The lender is only responsible if they sold it to you or someone with explicit authorisation with them. They are not responsible if a car dealer sold it.

Can someone please help! I took out a car loan with Black Horse in 2009. I contacted them regarding ppi and they said i didn't have any. I remember the sales person mention payment protection.

    Loan amount 7999.00
    Monthly installments 172.00
    Over 60 months
    APR 15.2
    Total payable is 10, 300
Would the 3 odd grand be the 15.2%

    Thanks

with loans, PPI is shown on the agreement as an entry. There is no entry there and the payments suggest no PPI either.

Thanks for your reply. I have doubled checked and I bought the car from Ken Thorne World of Cars (not Carcraft), which no longer exists. So I guess I won't be able to get my PPI back.

If you bought it post January 2005 then you can refer your complaint to the FSCS. If you bought it before January 2005 then there is no consumer protection for that.
