Samsung Galaxy S3 mini through Vodafone?
I am due an early upgrade at the end of the month and after researching, think I will go for the S3 mini. I am currently with Vodafone, however the S3 mini isn't on their website or in their shops, and when I rang customer service to ask a few questions, the guy couldnt find the tarriffs for it (though I dont think he knew what he was doing).
However, looking at carphone warehouse website, they offer the S3 mini through vodafone!
Does anyone know if the S3 mini is available through vodafone? If not I will just see my contract out and go elsewhere or opt for early upgrade with the Galaxy Ace 2
Thanks

When your eligible for an upgrade go to a 3rd party retailer and upgrade through them.
For instance with E2Save ( part of the CPW Group ) you can upgrade to Vodafone online , assuming there's a suitable deal for you.
e.g.
Unlimited calls.
Unlimited texts.
2Gb data.
£50 auto cashback OR a redemption deal for £33/month.
I am not saying that is a good deal , just pointing out that if you need to keep your number on the same network you don't have to actually go through Vodafone to get it!!0 -
If you go on CPW website you can get Samsung S3 mini with vodaphone free from £38 a month plus a Samsung Gal Tab 7in free thrown in umlimited txt and minutes and 2GB data0

Thanks for responses. The reason I was asking was I want to upgrade early (75 days before end of Voda contract) as my current phone is a brick. If they dont do this phone then I will see out my contract and move to O2 or CPW0

Obviously your choice of handset is your own affair and please don't take this as a criticism of that choice. My OH has a SII and a 7" Samsung Tablet and they are great.
If you have already researched the reviews on the SIII mini and are happy with your choice, then ignore the rest of this post.
The SIII mini is a bit of a con - it implies an SIII only smaller and its PAYG price reflects that. In fact, it is not up to the SIII in many respects and has a premium price that, frankly, doesn't warrant it. This may not be of concern to you on a 24 month contract with a "free" handset, but you could do better. Have a look at some reviews.
But as I said, not meaning to disrespect your choice, but 24 months is a long time.0 -

If you could see the phone I am using now (old school Nokia) anything will be a decent upgrade!
Do you think the Ace 2 is a better bet?0 -
I got offered the mini on voda a couple of months ago in CPW - can't remember what the deal was though because it's not one I went with in the end.
For all the name's a con - it's a decent little phone and does what I wanted it for (had mine a month or so now)Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

In fairness, no. But do a comparison or even better, go into a High St shop and try them both. If you are happy with the minutes etc, then it could be that the S3 mini would do you.
Do check you have at least 250/500 mb data, though as it is amazing how much you can consume on a smartphone and going over is expensive.
Don't know how much monthly cost weighs in your case, but before Christmas, Carphonewarehouse were offering a good deal through Talkmobile who use Vodafone as a carrier. For £10 per month, you could get an Ace with decent minutes. Have a look here http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/deal-finder at the Talkmobile offers and also at the Sony handsets on offer, as well as the Ace 2 which is reported to be good.
Remember, you don't have to rush in as you have got time to try them all.
Let us know how you get on.0
