Sat 5th/Sun 6th January - What small DFW things will you do today?

  • Hi everyone

I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend (those of you that are not working!).

    Today I have/will:-

    walked the dog - done
all food from stores (may have sausages/chips/veg for dinner)
make packed lunch for work tomorrow
    all ironing - done
complete form to register with doctor - have got form and documents out and will complete it today and take it in tomorrow
1 x load of washing - done (towels so no ironing)
Decide on clothes for work for the week - i find it easier to work it out before the week starts than try and think of what to wear every morning
Read book - have done a bit of reading, will do more later

Thats all my list for today - im going to take the opportunity of a couple of hours rest this afternoon (Ive been experiencing some pain in my left arm recently which I think may be a trapped nerve - in addition, I have had some chest pains- this is what has prompted me to register with the doctors 18 months after moving here!)

    Have a lovely day all.

    xxx
  • Hey all,

Just to let you know, I am lurking! Find it hard to post when I'm in work and there never seems much point making a "to do" list in the evening.

Hugs to those that need them. Esp Candy, lpp (how is the chest infection?), Karb (hope your bug has gone and you're sleeping better?) and those with poorly woofers.

Had a quite good mse weekend

    B/L from stores yesterday

    Dinner courtesy of b-i-l

Drinkies also courtesy of b-i-l for helping him with his essay

Breakfast courtesy of m-i-l cos we stayed at her's :D

Inherited a crate of Coors from f-i-l because it;s out of date (hic!)

Had a lovely spa treatment yesterday that OH got me for my birthday (back in Dec)

Probably dinner from stores tonight. OH mentioned going out for cheap tea, but will try and dissuade :D

Working from home. Extra few quid (I know, I know, I swore I wouldn't this year...)

Finally made soup yesterday to use up bendy root veg :T (after talking about it for two weeks). Almost a soupy disaster though as I got distracted and all the liquid boiled off  Luckily the veg was in big chunks just to be pur!ed so I think I can add a stock cube and save it!

Will nip to shop for milk, and milk only

Have almost finished reassembling dress that I took apart

Hope you all have a lovely rest of the day xx

    Hi all,

Sorry it's 16:34 on a Sunday afternoon and I'm only just getting to post on here....even though I have been lurking :o

Unfortunately, I have picked up a bug so my NSD and Mse ways have abandoned me for a couple of days.

    So, since Friday I have/will:
    • Meals from stores
    • Spent a fortune at t@sco on Friday and Saturday evenings mainly on c@ke, decongestants and anything I fancied - 2 trips as I found out on the Saturday that my cough mixture had been thrown away (o.o.d) and unfortunately, I have a weak chest so I had to replace it
    • Slept loads......I think that this was part of the reason I picked up the bug

Such a small list or me for 3 days.....will do better tomorrow :T

    Take care all

    Today I;

Checked the balance on an old Nectar card I found in the loft - £12 :)

Transferred the points on an old Morrisons Miles card to a newer one before points get cancelled and had enough for a £5 voucher (thanks to this thread on the Grabbit board - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4374365)

Bought cut price calendar and 2013 diary from The Works.

Bought a present and some cards for next Xmas from Aldi (terracotta bird nesting box & seed, £7)

Stocked up on super six fruit/veg whilst there as on a health kick now until Easter - no alcohol and only choc treats in moderation on Friday/Saturday evenings.

Few things to add to my list for today:-

    • Left hair to dry naturally rather than use electricity for my hairdryer
    • Checked postcode lottery, been doing this for a while but I keep forgetting to add it to my list :o
    • Log calories using free app
Bit gutted that not a single guitar sold on fleabay today :( Not sure what to do now...
On the other hand I am pleased that we avoided the takeaway & I cooked a nice veggie thai red curry, so much so that there's even leftovers for another meal over the next couple of days :)
