    Hi Pernicious

Hope those links work and are allowed on here. The original thread has long since closed but I still do the challenge on my own every year since I discovered it.

That's the original posts by mickey mouse who started this particular thread in 2008. Not sure if it was the first one or if there were others before it, but I loved it and it helped me and motivated me so much.

PS Just found part II of the original thread started by Gemmzie Couldn't find Part I.

Morning everyone. Hugs to all that need them

Well, I got the broken kitchen window replaced - at a cost of £80 because I went for the reinforced glass rather than £65 for the normal stuff. Thought it was better for when the kids are here. The bloke did take a look at the conservatory door, but couldn't fix it, though he reckons that one of his mates would be able to. He's going to ring me in the week about it. Its not a massive hassle in the meantime, I just have to go out of the front door and down the alleyway, but the dog is VERY confused by it all.

Need to repair the roof felt on the shed this morning, as a section has come loose, so I want to fix it before it rains again, and its too dark by the time I get home from work so that needs to be done today.

Dropping my friend at the airport at lunchtime, so its not very DFW for me, as its extra petrol, but it saves her the taxi fare. Then straight to a geocaching event in a pub near Redditch. Will take sandwiches with me, and aim to spend more time out walking and less time in the pub. And I will definitely be sticking to soft drinks. I'm not sure how long I'll last with the giving up alcohol, but I'm not ready to quit yet that's for sure!

Other than that, its just the usual for me. Walk the dog, meals from stores, make sandwiches for work tomorrow, check banking, ironing, do housework etc.

    Have a great Sunday everyone

Eaten both the cakes we cooked yesterday already??? :rotfl:

The marshmallow fluff thread is on page 7 of the OS board by the way.

I started a household diary/folder on 1st January three years ago but it fizzled out 5 months later when I started full-time work. I ought to re-visit it and see if I can adapt it to my current circumstances.

My list for today goes like this:
    • Fed and watered the chickens
    • Checked banking
    • Breakfast from stores
    • Spent two hours trawling the MSE forums for more ideas - or procrastinating depending on how you look at it :D
    • Possibly look at what to use my voucher for
    • Possibly look at wireless printers in $taples closing down sale - can't work out how to use my old printer with the iPad :o
That'll be enough for today I think.

Ohhhhh thanks Karb - you've reminded me that I need to replace the tarpaulin on the dog kennel (which is used by the cats  if they're stuck out & the weather turns) ..... it's hidden behind the garage so not immediately there to remember about IYKWIM - went round a couple of days ago & the current one's been absolutely shredded in the winds the past few days  - the roof felt gave up many years ago :o

TBH I have been thinking of replacing it as the floor is also now rotting :o - it was a freebie and has done me 7 years so can't complain:T however, I've got a bit of tarpaulin left so will cover just now & start hunting for a new one!

    Afternoon all.

Last day before going back to work for me today :(
I'm actually quite looking forward to it - need some structure back!

    So today...
    • Walked the dog once - two more to go
    • Been for a 5km run for free exercise
    • All food from stores
    • Bit of batch cooking later to stop me eating rubbish when I'm back at work
    • Get clothes ready for the week
    • Do the final batch of marking - will need a celebratory drink when its finally all done;)
    • Used up the dregs of a shampoo and conditioner and the last teeny bit of a freebie moisturiser
    • Do my best to have a NSD day
    • Make packed lunch for tomorrow
    • Update diary
    • Check bank
  • TBH I have been thinking of replacing it as the floor is also now rotting :o - it was a freebie and has done me 7 years so can't complain:T however, I've got a bit of tarpaulin left so will cover just now & start hunting for a new one!

    *sigh* this would be perfect!

    Hi everyone,

Casper - Thanks for the links, they've worked & I'll give it a read in a min!

    Today I have/will:-
    • Food from stores
    • Dinner from stores or possibly a takeaway...a friend is coming over & he said he'll pay for a takeaway but I feel a bit mean & would have to chip in! May just offer to cook something, got some chicken out just in case.
    • Charging phone via pc
    • Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed, lots of layers on to keep warm.
    • Check online banking
    • Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
    • Sign up for new mystery shopping company as I want more of this work, it's quick, easy & pays well!
    • Enter some comps
    • Do some decluttering & flylady
    • Need to find all my receipts & enter them into Mr T's price promise
    • Need to fess up on the GC thread
    • Check ebay, 3 guitars ending today...some watchers but no bids, really hope I get some last minute bids!
    • Research cost of holiday to Berlin for DH's 30th in November, anyone ever been that can offer me some tips?
    • Research cheapest place to buy new camera, as well as which camera to buy! I've decided I'm better off selling my broken camera for spares on fleabay, I'm sure some clever clogs will buy it for £30-£50, fix it themselves & sell it on for £150! Going to cost more to begin with but better long term.
    • Going to check out the OS board for this household diary thread, I've been using the filofax I got for xmas for meal plans, to do lists, etc, but wondering if I can make even more use of it to get organised this year!
    • Washing on eco setting using less than the recommended dose of washing liquid x2
    • Hang up to dry
Hope everyone has a great, MSE day x
