Morning All
Weather here is damp and dismal, so washing is on the airers.
DH is at work but only until 12pm and he wants to start redecorating DD's bedroom this afternoon DS is going to help.
Next week he is doing DS's room, his aim is a room a week which includes a massive declutter and many trips to the CS and tip.
Having a Fry up for dinner because it is quick and easy.
Hope you are on the mend flutterby x
(((((((Hugs)))))) for all in need especially Jools, Molly, LW and unclebryn

Morning all.
We've been out and about already this morning. Went to the Sorting Office to pick up a couple of parcels, picked up DH's work suit from the dry cleaners, and got a few urgent groceries. Also, I was very bad and bought a dress in M&S and it wasn't even in the sale. My excuse is that it's emerald green, a colour I've been wanting for a long time, and I used some vouchers to get £9 off.
I've now got a load of washing on, and am just about to start the outstanding ironing.
This afternoon will be an eBay afternoon.
It suddenly seems busy after the Christmas break.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning everyone.
Rubbish sleep here which included tripping over an open baby gate in wee small hours, falling flat on my face and causing cramp in both calves. Neck and back ache now, probably from tensing when I fell. Feel an old wreck today.
Not sure what plans are. Haven't even had a shower yet
Want to get kids out on their bikes more, DS still can't ride unaided so he needs to practice which is a PITA when he doesn't want to. H thinks I shouldn't nag him but I just think he needs pushing. He doesn't want to get to be a teenager and be the only boy he can't ride a bike
Anyway not loads of OS as I CBA
Tea will probably be pizza.
Hugs and spoons all round xxx
Jools and Bryn hugs for you xxxx

Afternoon All
Bitsy, hope you're ok, take care.
FB - Glad you're feeling better and glad your friends are helping.
Hugs to Jools and Unclebryn.
DD started work at 11.30 so I went into Glasgow with her, had to return a jacket I bought for her that she didn't like and take a pair of boots back to Clarks that were starting to fall apart and she hadn't worn them that much. Got a refund for the jacket and also for the boots but they need to order her a new pair so she should get those next week. Very pleased with both shops attitude, very helpful. Did some veg shopping on the way home and was back here by 1pm.
Put the henhouse on freegle and had 11 e-mails in the first half hour! It has now gone so that's something else out of the way, have to have a big clear up as I want to put the house on the market soon. Will need to get a skip and lots of people here one weekend to make he garden look somewhere near decent!
Take care and have a good weekend. XX0 -
Saw my lovely Tessa today and she already has an interview linded up for next Wednesday. She is OK now, and has cheered up a bit at least ,she is rarely down for long bless her and her OH bought her a lovely bunch of flowers to cheer her up, totally impractical, and probably could have spent the cash on something useful and edible but he adores her and hates it when she gets upset bless him.
All the dekkies are down and put away so Christmas is a thing of the past and now's the time to look forward to the coming spring (hopefully )I managed to spend just under a fiver on reduced fruit and veg so have no need for anymore shopping for at least a week.Shopping from the freezer for stuff this week.January is a long month and all the bills are due:)
I saw the consultant yesterday eventually, even though he was over an hour late.Things are looking good and I have a mammogram due in April and depending on the result I will hopefully be signed off and clear by June when my 5 years of remission will be up.Large G&Ts on that day that's for sure
<<hugs to jools & unclebryn >> chin up and one day at a time
Right I'm off to get my washing in that is hanging on the line looking very damp and forlorn, its going to have to go on the airer I think not a breath of wind here at the moment to give it a blow.
Take care all

Afternoon all!
Another sleepless night, but at least the headache I have had for 3 weeks is easing a bit for now, doubt it will last though!
2 more huge bouquets delivered today, another mountain of cards, and a pile of letters from another insurance company. Iain, who never had 2 pennies to rub together in his pocket cos I dealt with all the finances, has left a life insurance policy worth about 10 times what I expected it to be, plus a big wodge in an ISA which was the back-up for the mortgage endowment. Unfortunately this means his estate is worth more than £30k, not including his pension death benefits. As we never married and he died without a will, looks like I need to consult my lawyer to get some documentation from the courts for us to claim. So we have learned a lesson or two, write a will and have your flu jab every year! Whilst my gut and heart are telling me its only money and we would much rather have his grumpy face staring over from the sofa just now asking what's for dinner, common sense is saying just get it sorted as it will set the kids up a bit, who knows when DD will want to move in to a place with her boyfriend or get married, and then it could be DS' turn! The paperwork is a PITA, but we will get there in the end!
Anyways, your continued well wishes remain a comfort for me, so thanks again!
Hugs where needed or wanted, plenty for sharing!!!RIP Iain

Hi all,
Sympathy to every one battling with the dreaded lurgy. For goodness sake don't try to struggle on with normal life, you'll only prolong the misery, rest as much as is humanly possible, dose yourself with lemon and honey and if you have a cough go to the nearest pharmacy and get something for it.
Camelot: glad you got the goods replaced. I had a pair of strappy sandals once and the first time I wore them one of the straps broke. When I took them back to the shop the assistant said crossly, "Someone's been walking in these!" Um...Yes.
JackieO: Tessa sounds like a very determined girl - good luck to her.
FB: rest, rest, rest.
Jools: It's rotten having to deal with financial and legal matters at a time like this. As long as another member of his family doesn't decide to be difficult I can't think that there will be a problem with Iain's estate. Take every bit of help you are offered and know that there is a deep well of concern here for you and your family.
Well, the house has been de-Christmassed and Christmas is now all heaped on the floor in my Room of Doom, where it will stay until the rest of the house is more or less under control again.
We have been planning baby Mia's baptism and her parent's wedding today. In my day things went the other way round but Heigh Ho!
There will have to be some serious dieting this year if I'm not to be an unsightly blob in the photographs. Think I'll start on Monday, there are still a few left over goodies to be de-cluttered.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
