Triple Dip inescapable says ITN News at ten - even though I have posted about this already - in November, I really wasn't expecting it to be this bad (service sector & unemployment) As previously posted it looks as if the Xmas quarter shrank by 0.2% - no wonder Dave looked pink and flustered and flounced off under interview earlier, the Cons must be wondering why we aren't spending (we could tell them.... if they lived in our world....)

Think Tank Warns Of Sluggish 'Groundhog' 2013
A left-wing think tank warns 2013 could see a repeat of poor economic growth and financial crisis in Europe.
A think tank has warned that 2013 could turn out to be a "groundhog year" with a repeat of sluggish growth and crisis in Europe seen in 2012.
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) said that consumer and business spirits have been so thoroughly dampened by talk of years of austerity ahead that the economy mail fail to grown again this year.
In a gloomy New Year message, IPPR chief economist Tony Dolphin said the Government "still does not have a path back to growth" and appeared to be pinning hopes on "something just turning up".
The Office for Budget Responsibility's forecast of 1.2% GDP growth in 2013 and 2% in 2014 depend on a "very unlikely" readiness for hard-pressed households to drop the habits of the last four years and take on additional debt, he added.

Have you never watched Sky's newspaper reviews?
Proving that all the BBC's "Murdoich is the antichrist" hysteria is nothing more than commercial rivalry dressed-up as outraged principle, Sky is an unquestionably Left wing news source, as its relentless choice of commentators from the Left's propaganda rags demonstrates.
So bad has the UK's choice of TV news become that Russia Today is starting to look appealing!

I actually think that LaGarde should go - as well as Osborne! They were warned about the Big Austerity Fail but just kept digging once they were in the hole... it's clear they are of a generationm past and we need new young blood that understands how global economy works now.... too far...too fast they were told - Ed Balls wias right! Heres Bloomberg with the story

I don't actually recall being out of recession. When did that occur?
November! a smidgeon of 'growth' a couple of quarters in a row I think the rule goes.... Was actually only an Olympic blip but the Cons clutched the straw like a lifeline for a sinking man.... his name was George I believe....0 -
I don't actually recall being out of recession. When did that occur?
Just some economists juggling the figures around to try to make the situation look better, when in fact it is steadily getting worse this is what is frustrating for any Government to contend with.
So in reality we just get another day older and deeper in debt.0
