haha point taken, the tissue bit did make me laugh when she told me, it was the energy drink bit that shocked me, I thought it was not allowed to under 16s, maybe I should take a snap shot in "Do not sell to this child"

It does annoy me when shops don't obey the rules stated on the product. Only the other day I was in WH Smiths and saw the shop assistant sell a Yorkie to a woman! I was horrified ;)

Looking on the bright side, your daughter has probably learnt a lesson from it. I remember when I was twelve and I went out with a group of friends for the first time. We went to the cinema and I brought a bag of sweets...which I'd never ever had before because I'm type one diabetic. Ended up with the worst migraine I've ever had in my life and had to ring my mum because I could hardly move without feeling sick.

    Only did it once :o

    You learn by your mistakes.

When I was a kid I stuck a piece of lego up my nose and the neighbour had to come round to dig it out and I was terrified it would attach itself to my brain and never come off.

Another memorable time is when out with my dad in the garden I was using a old sucked on lollypop stick to mess with a Bee minding his own business in the flowers, ignoring my dad telling me not to, and well I got stung and learnt that Bee's really do sting if you annoy them.

Just a few experiences which I've learnt from, but even though one was painful and the other terrifying (back then) I don't regret them.

There is not enough learning the hard way today, that is why we have so many people who can't think for themselves.
OP this is in no way related to your first post :-)

  • I used to work in one of those shops and we weren't allowed to sell energy drinks to under 16s. Surely the shop had a mop and bucket or some of the large blue cleaning roll that felt like sandpaper?
