I stayed in los cristianos in January last year at the Oasis Mango apartments . it's up a bit of a hill and 15-20 min walk to the beach. seems to be cheap as its a bit further from the beach than the others but that didn't matter to me.
the room was HUGE! and just refurbished. I don't know if all of the hotel is refurbished but ask for rooms in the 700s and you won't be disappointed.
    £2 Savers Club #156! :)
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j

We always stay in Adeje and it certainly isn't lagerloutland unless you go up by San Eugenio. Some of the best hotels in the island are along that coast. We are there late January and got a cracking deal at La Nino AI 4 nights £300 for 2
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

we had a week in Costa Adeje last November and although the hotel and weather were OK we would certainly never consider going back there; it runs indistinguishably into Las Americas and the whole area is completely naff and full of English bars selling mega-cheap beer and therefore full of the sort of Brits who want to drink cheap beer all day... simply ghastly.

Brits drinking bear all day, shocking. Going next week, might not go now, thanks for the info.

Hope you did something else rather than watching people drink

Sure we did, hired a car and explored the rest of the island. Found one of the best fish restaurants ever in Candelaria, and had a good thrash up and down some minor mountain roads, among other things.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

We're off to Golf del Sur next weekend for a couple of weeks. It's quiet, has reasonably priced accomodation and is convenient for touring (TF1 2km), large supermarkets (Las Chafiras 2km), beach (Tejita 4km) and restaurants (Los Abrigos 2km). Weather today is 21C and sunny. It suits us fine

Have booked our first niight here - its not easy to get accommodation anywhere really there was one room left
On Tripadvidsor list of resorts it says noisy all night because of aircraft - is this much of a problem?

    Also thanks everyone for helping...
Have been pleased to get all info, looking forward to a guidebook coming from amazon as that will help us - was wondering as we are having a car if we would see more if we moved around eg definately a night in north - we are not particularly interested in night life rather stay away from big resorts.

Did post on the Las G website but only one suggestion so far, and fully booked, our fault for leaving so long...

and Mango in another resort also all gone...
Can anyone suggest anywhere in the north of the island I think we would like to see the north coast... but more likely to be clooudy??

Have never had difficulty with accommodation anywhere, Tenerife sooooo popular!
  • El Marques Palace, Los Gigantes

    Google is your friend
  • It will possibly be more cloudy in the north, but still warm. Puerto De La Cruz would be a good base there .. the El Tope is a nice hotel - or the Botanico if you're minted!
    Normal people worry me.
