Comets Price Error

This morning Comet had a 42 inch Plasma TV (Panasonic) on the website was normally priced at £1099, but as a package with a stand, it cost only £99!!!!!

The isse was not the pricing itself, but the size of the "package deal"; on the checkout it merely said, "£-1099.

What normally happens in these situations? I've ordered one. Will I get it for the cheap price, and if you wouldn't normally, does the fact that in this case it was not actually a price error, but a discount error (ie, too much was taken off)?

Any help much appreciated.

It was only up this morning, I ordered mine at about 9am.

i reckon they will try and wriggle out of it but i suppose it depends on how many people ordered...hope you get it at that price!

It is still a pricing error. Somewhere on their website they will exclude liability for pricing errors on their website.

They will most likely give you the option to buy it at full cost, or cancel your order.

You won't get your TV for £99. They are not obliged to sell at that price !

Bah! Thats a shame.

Although they should offer some kind of a discount; it is wrong to just offer it at full price or nothing.

Although, they should be obliged, in my view, to sell at that price, since they have already taken the money out of my account...

yes but have they? when you make a payment by card they dont take it there and then, it gets reserved from what I understand. The company recieving the money then sends an authorisation code through to your card company saying yes its ok and then the payment goes through. Thats how I understand it anyway.

Its like when you goto tesco and pay by card, first they check wether the money is there, the last button they press completes the sale and forms the contract, and your reciept is printed.

Ive been here myself with a pricing screw up and my bank told me this.
