    Employers can't override the law!

    True.

    However, that only applies to the statutory holiday of 28 days per year. If the OP gets more than that then the firm could have a clause saying that she loses the extra days.

    Sorry to bump but with regards to the notice pay, would that apply to me too since i'm only part time - would that 'pay' come out of my holidays or would they pay me 1 weeks worth of wages AND all accrued holidays?

    I only give 1 weeks notice.
