Why do you have a picture of the landing and no pictures of the bedrooms?0
-
The agent didn't want to put any bedroom pictures on the details. I tend to agree that the kitchen and living room are most important. I think the landing is on there to show how big it is.
The cow is pretty well behaved generally.
Thanks for all the feedback and keep it coming...
By the way the other house in the village (with the same agent) around the 370k mark has sold. I conceed that it's a much nicer looking house, but it is on the Railway line and isn't in the village it's about 1/2 a mile away.
Maybe mine will sell now?0 -
I don't think the house is ugly, I think it looks fine from the outside although I do agree that it does look small (although it obviously isn't). Your kitchen is gorgeous. Some thoughts - the bathrooms look very modern but the living room does not. It looks like a load of old furniture has been crammed in there. Also, the landing: when looking at property details, if someone has included a picture of their landing, I tend to think that's because they're struggling for nice photos. If your bedrooms are nice, show one of them instead! What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!
DFD - WAS: a while ago
NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
To be honest I don't think the photographer has taken good pictures and not enough of them. They seem to have taken all the pics whilst standing just inside the doorways of the rooms. They look like 'lazy pics' to me.
The kitchen pic would be better if taken from the other side of the table and farther back, then take a pic of the dining end seperately.
I think the lounge would be better after taking out the small chair in the corner and moving the sofas further apart, also put a couple of throws on them to make them match. Then pic needs to be taken from the gap inbetween the 2 sofas IMO.
I agree with the others about lack of bedroom pics. I like to see at least a pic of the master bedroom.
Hope that helps and good luck!!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
The only thing that doesn't look perfect is the guitar on the wall, and single seat under it, wouldn't really be worth removing just thought I'd mention it.
I wouldn't buy an advert for £500 seems a waste of money especially as most people us rightmove nowadays.Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0 -
I don't think 500 pounds is worth it - Rightmove will be much more popular.
Pictures of more bedrooms would be much better - although the whole house isn't that big, square footage wise.
That said, I think the property is lovely: I know that part of the world well, and would love somewhere like this myself one day when I have a family. I love the blue sofa.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
I think it looks a really nice house but £345k is a awful lot of money and the fact you've had so few views is probably because that at that price you're limited to a much smaller pool of buyers than you would be at a lower price.0
-
If that is worth £350,000 then I'm the Tooth Fairy. The perfect financial storm is brewing...!0
-
I don't think 345 is outrageous - but the market is a lot slower up north. Some houses stay on the market a very long time. You could argue that the property is not competitively priced, but I think it is.
It would seem to me from the floorplan that the bedrooms are very small, however - perhaps that is an issue.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
I echo the problems with the photos. they are OK but i dont tihnk they make the most of what youve got there. the lounge in particular. on 1st glance is suggests there isnt a lot of space in there as the photographer has poked his head round the door to take the snap.
Id also question, if you have 5 bedrooms why arnt any of them shown?
I think the landing p[icture should be culled, yes its a space, but its more of ah "oooh added bonus" type space than something that would actively sell the property. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
