I agree - You're better off buying a low-end/smaller-sized, branded TV for a similar price, rather than a larger TV from a supermarket.

Does anyone know how the supermarkets source these lesser-known brands?

Swapped the TV over this evening. Sainsbury's were very good and gave a full refund no problem. I then bought their Sharp 32" TV for £189.99. Just started to install it now!

Their buyers visit the Far East and seemingly purchase the cheapest available product.
Make no mistake, these are cheap TVs-not bargains.

Check Control Panel/Sounds to make sure that HDMI - not your speakers - is your default. Depends on your windows version how to get to it. Bit of a pain as you need to reverse the process when you disconnect.
