  • I did try getting one on Saturday too without luck and gave up, then read through someone's (Dolto) and saw they managed to book 7nts so tried again this morning picked le chene and 3 other popular parks all in may first with 4 people then 5 then 6 and Finally got it, I'm glad I didn't give up as love taking the kids to Disney and le chene is a lovely site not too far from Disney :0)

I agree totally it is a lovely site and my 2 disabled children have Disneyland paris annual passes that run out in June (cannot afford to renew them) so need to make the most of them as cheaply as possible!!
  • The website crashed just after I pressed pay so I don't know if the booking went through. I got a payment confirmation email which says it is not a booking confirmation. Are we supposed to get a booking confirmation email straight away?

Yes unfortunately you will need 2 priority codes and book 2 holidays as I have to do this every year as family come but we like our own caravan, you could try ringing the park direct and see what they say but when I rang I was told that they only release so many dates to the sun promotion and I would need to get another priority form and book or pay full price.
  • Can anyone help
i booked a friday to monday break at golden coast village woolacombe and then booked another monday to friday to make it a week - however when printed up confirmation stated this break was at golden coast ilfracombe - my daughter gave me another priority code and i was able to book monday to friday at the correct park.
I now have 2 breaks ie 21st june for 4 days for 5 people at a cost £75 - what does everyone think i should do - could i sell spare one on ebay when i receive paper work or should i phone the park and explain the situation
thank you in advance for any advice as i dont really want to lose £75!

The satnavs (well my Tom Tom) also reminds you to drive the correct way around roundabouts. Mine can sometimes take me to slightly the wrong place - but that's because it's about 7 years old and I've never updated it! I find printing a Google Maps before you go just in case makes me worry less about it. And the French are pretty good with their signposting.

I'd agree ... French signposting is really good. Not just for towns but everything. The only thing that I would add is we usually navigate town to town rather than by road number on the advice of my dad who often goes round France with the caravan. Road numbers seem to change at random and sometimes roads have more than one number at the same time which can be confusing. Even with a sat nav we usually have a look at the map too incase the gps signal drops out at a crucial point! I found driving in France the first time OK but roundabouts still fox me a bit even now! If we go a long distance we fork out for the toll roads which is money well spent in the long run.
Yes already booked, sat here in tears, devastated now spoiled my daughters first holiday by the sounds of it!!

Everyone's advice is absolutely right. It's what you make of it and I'm sure your little one will have a great time. You may also not actually find it anywhere as bad as some other folks. I think generally people are more likely to report bad experiences than be inclined to report good ones or even just OK ones. For every 10 people that say stay away there could be another 15 or 20 that would say go for it. I've stayed places having read mixed (and sometimes quite severe negative) feedback and afterwards wondered just what many of the other people were complaining about.
  • Hi all

Thanks to everyone who posted the codewords - I got the week in France we wanted in the summer (our county seems to break up a week before everybody else).

I am having problems booking the dover-calais ferry crossing. First of all it said the promo code was invalid and then when I logged in again it said my booking ref had already been used. Anybody else having this problem?
