Problems with O2 order

Options
I ordered a phone on the 14th of December and was told it would arrive on the 18th. I expected that the delivery might be late, so waited until the 28th to call and ask when to expect the phone.

Since then I've had multiple calls of being told the phone is "just back in stock" and "should be with you tomorrow".

So far I've had nothing from O2 to say that there had been any stock problems or that my delivery would be delayed. On the order tracking page it still says "next day delivery" and that the order is "in process".

Every time I call, they tell me the same thing.

I move house in just over a week's time and don't need to keep waiting at home because the phone is "just back in stock" and should be arriving that day.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out when my phone will actually be delivered or what to do if it's not going to arrive by moving day (13th Jan) by which point it will have been a whole month since I ordered it?

Thanks.

You can't seriously think that anyone here knows something that O2 don't know?

Cancel the order and Vote With Your Feet. The sooner you do this, the better. If they have taken the money demand an immediate refund and compensation.

No! I wasn't sure if there was something that might be obvious to someone else that I missed - so far just tried calling O2 not sure if there's a specific number for delivery problems or anything like that.

I'm reluctant to cancel my order - I wanted it before Christmas and haven't found it cheaper elsewhere. They said it could take 2 weeks to get my refund. Doubt they'd give me any compensation - the people I've spoken to were really rude and just tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible telling me the phone would be here "tomorrow".

I've always found O2 very helpful. Hope your phone arrives soon.

Thanks :) Bought my previous phone through them years ago and they were great so thought I could rely on them!

I ordered a new phone on 8 Dec and it was delivered on 11 Dec, so not all bad with O2. Hope your arrives soon. Not the same phone as you, mine was an iphone 4S.
