Help Needed Peugeot 406 airbag light flashing

could be anything from the control unit to the squib in the steering wheel. At £600 looks like they want to change the control unit or the squib, you need to get in detail what they want to do for £600.

as a guide reading the codes is about £35

Oh, and go somewhere else to get your car fixed in future, any mechanic who wants to spend £600 of your money on something that might not be the problem should never get the opportunity to do so.
