    Morning
Thanks for starting us off Ally, I am ready for work and about to walk out the door so quick post!

    - [STRIKE]Checked banking[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Shower instead of bath[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Glasses today [/STRIKE]- saving a pair of contact lenses
    - [STRIKE]DM looking after DD, saving a days holiday club[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]B/L/D from stores[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Chili for dinner make from savoury mince base cooked the other day[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Write small Mr T's top up list for tomorrow[/STRIKE] think I'm going to travel a few more miles, write a bigger list and visit Aldi (KEEP WRITING ALDO!!!!)
    - [STRIKE]Await response from email to boss yesterday ref new job role[/STRIKE] Not impressed with his initial response, and as a result sent my CV off to a specialist recruitment agency for my field, although may be premature as he wants to talk to me Monday in person.
    - [STRIKE]Await response from director ref pay scheme this year[/STRIKE], it looks like it's capped at +10% of target, last year I hit +24% of target so I won't be happy if it is! Not impressed with his response either...voiced this unhappiness via well-worded email, he is now working on it, not used to dealing with people like me!
    - 1x HC. then in tumble over night on timer :DNot enough for a load!!!

Right I'd better make my breakfast and get on the move!
Have a lovely day one and all!
    Jx

Well today I have become thoroughly disillusioned with my company who I have been with nearly ten years, grown up with and taught me everything I know about my field to an extrememly high standard. I'll find out what's going on on Monday for sure but if it's what I suspect then I'll be job hunting. So angry. Will update situation on Monday when I know

Hi :wave:to all the regulars and lurkers and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people - and I am proud to call them my friends.

Sorry didnt get on yesterday as had another bad night with LO and then spent the day at mums stripping her lounge of wallpaper but at least it made yesterday my first NSD of the New Year. Today has been a spendy day but it was all Christmas money but today I have managed a few "small things" too:

    Check Banks - Done
    Check swapits - Done
    Check www.freepostcodelottery.co.uk - Done
Packed lunch for OH - Done
Washing - Done couple of loads
Returned Library Book & Collect new book - Done
Up to date on main email account - Done
Enter a few comps - Done

Take care, love to you all

  • I've just got back from work... long day in the office but's here's my contribution to reducing my finance burden;

    1. Drove at 65 mph instead of the usual 70 to save a little bit of petrol money
    2. Washed the car myself at work rather than paying for professional car wash.
    3. Avoided eating at the canteen - took sandwiches instead
    4. Avoided Costa Coffe on the way into work (very very hard!)
    5. Signed up for Gas and Electricity Direct Debit billing and saved myself £40 a year
:jI Love Saving Money & My Passion Is Writing Money Saving Guides For Dummies (like me)
:TMy motto: Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
