    Afternoon all,

Thanks for starting us off Ally.
Karb - Hope you managed to get everything fixed on the cheap! Have you tried googling it? There may be an easy fix you could try.
Happy Birthday Janey, perhaps your small DFW thing is to recieve what you would otherwise buy, thus saving you money? :)

    Today I have/will:-
    • Made use of free milk & water at work
    • Made use of free choccy biscuits at work due to a colleague's birthday
    • Food from stores
    • Leftovers for lunch
    • Dinner from meal plan
    • Staying in for my lunch break to avoid spending
    • Charged phone at work
    • Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed, lots of layers on to keep warm.
    • Check online banking
    • Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
    • Enter some comps
    • Do some decluttering & flylady
    • Need to find all my receipts & enter them into Mr T's price promise

    • Research cost of holiday to Berlin for DH's 30th in November, anyone ever been that can offer me some tips?
    • Research cheapest place to buy new camera, as well as which camera to buy! I've decided I'm better off selling my broken camera for spares on fleabay, I'm sure some clever clogs will buy it for £30-£50, fix it themselves & sell it on for £150! Going to cost more to begin with but better long term.
    • Go to second job tonight, not drinking & thus driving & saving money
    • Claimed an Amaz0n voucher from Valued Opinions :j Didn't know I had this so am happy I can now "buy" what I wanted to last night but refrained from
    • Created a meal plan for the month & devised a shopping list for the weekend & gone through my coupons to see what I can make use of
Hope everyone has a great, MSE day x

Perni, I have had a quick google, but I've tried all the obvious things and I'm completely useless with my hands, so anything that isn't straightforward is beyond my capability!!!

Forgot to mention that I've got washing drying on the line today for the first day in ages, as the forecast was for a dry day (just hope it remains that way til I get home).

Also submitted my expenses. Only £17, but better in my bank account than the company's.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

    Hello

    Happy Friday!

    Here's me:

:) Found a 5-drawer unit for £20 second hand - drawer fronts are blue but I'm going to paint them to match my room - it's veneer so I've been looking at how to do it: HM chalk paint (paint/plaster of paris mix) as a base coat x2 and then the paint of your choice. Will be a nice wee project.

Now just need to find bedside cabinets - loads of adverts for 1 but I need 2… I've seen cheap little tables but I don't know if they'll start annoying me because they don't have drawers, but then I think that my drawers will just get cluttered and I don't have any now so maybe I'd be ok with tables… Trying to be all minimalist about this and think how nice it will look uncluttered, but then think it will be easier to lock our stuff away in a drawer… Decisions decisions…

:) Night in tonight - OH is out but I'm not going with him so kinda like 'half price' :p

:) Meal plan and do shopping list for tomorrow's @ldi trip

:) Email back guy re missing @mazon parcel

    :) PAD to cc

:) Really resist buying the bedside cabinets I want on credit!!! :(

:) Really resist buying black boots and wear my brown ones instead - I'm sure they're fine really and don't really 'not match'

:) Washing on quick wash for the weekend

Afternoon all, big doglet seems much brighter today and had a lovely swim at the beach which has made me much happier :)

    Mine for today:

    - Breakfast, most of lunch and dinner from stores.

    - Had to go to lidl to get lentils for my soup for 50 people tomorrow, so got a couple of other bits that Msons didn't have yesterday but were on list.

    - Took doglets to beach today instead of Sunday as midweek parking is cheaper than weekend.

    - OH cancelled his credit expert thingy to avoid paying and only using free trial.

    - Doubled up on my fave clementine cake for tomorrows 50 people - meant I used most of the L/O clems from Christmas.

    - Revisit meal plan for next couple of weeks and make any necessary changes.

    - Answered questions on ebay items - only one bid so far but plenty of watchers.

    - 1p, 2p, 5p into their pots and extra odd change into sealed jar.

    - OH has taken on some private work to try and have a bit more to pay off some of his CC debt.

Happy Friday all, hope you are having a good one :)

    Hi,

I went last December when the Christmas markets were on. Was really festive. I think they start some time in November so you may see some. We hostelled and got a cheap flight to Schoenefeld airport from Liverpool with Easyjet. It's not the main airport but is still only a train ride away from Berlin centre. You can also buy a travel ticket in advance from the shops in the airport for the duration of your trip.

You would probably want a hotel rather than a hostel as it's a special occasion - check Travelzoo, I've seen Berlin on their 'Top 20' weekly email quite a few times now.

There's LOADS to see and do there, especially learning about how life was when the wall was up. He should love it :)

    Hello :j

    1. I had an urge to buy a magazine which would have been about £3-4. Instead popped into a charity shop and picked one up for 20p.

    2. Made packed lunch for hubby

    3. Froze some lemons (sliced them) instead of throwing them away (never done this before)

    4. Froze some bread slices as I know I won't be able to use it all up (never done this before either)
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.
 Fab thread: Long daily walks
