day off:j well sort of. Got a small cleaning job this morning then at teatime I'm going with DS2 and his GF to look at a flat:eek:

was awake half the night stressing about this. He is 21 this year but still my baby. He's overcome such a lot to get where he is and I'm so proud of him:)

House clean and tidy. Have actually hung some towels on the line as it's dry and blowy at the moment!:j

Pasta bake for tea.

I am off to the supermarket today for the first time since 22nd december but I only have a small list. We have decided to get our meat from the farm shop and OH is taking me there tomorrow.

This afternoon I am going to A**A to get a flu jab. I am a teacher and I think it is a sensible precaution, after feeling ill over Christmas I don't want to feel ill again if I can help it.

I had a good nights sleep, from 11pm til 6.30am without waking . Lazed in bed for an hour but then got up for a shower. I felt sooo much better after it, didn't feel up to one yday. Washed my hair and put a bit of make up and perfume on, and feel slightly more human now. Still a little bit sore, and have to fit the urge to blow my nose!

I did overdo it a bit though this morning . I'm having Sky fitted today, and although my Dad cleared the area around the tv I forgot to get him to move the sofa out so the Sky man can get to the phone socket. So I pulled sofa out, and then had to hoover up all the dust under it . But that was too much for me! Felt a bit wobbly so am now on the sofa for next few hours. Sky man due sometime before half11 :j.

My best friend is coming round later for couple of hours, she kindly picked my car up from the hospital and is bringing it back, along with lunch and magazines! I'm very grateful to her :A. I will ask her to pop to my neighbours as apparently there is a parcel there from one of my dear friends, very sweet of her to send me something :A. I'm lucky to have such nice friends.

OS wise - meals from freezer, hoovered this morning, laundry to be put away later today or tomorrow.

Morning All

Going to try to take the big tree outside today, all the decorations are away but it's a large tree and the needles will go everywhere! May get DD to give me a hand before she goes off to work.

Got loads of bits done yesterday, took down the decs and had a good clean and tidy, made a big pot of lentil soup and spag bol which we had for tea, the left overs are in the freezer.

DD and I are trying to lose a few pounds so all healthy cooking here, going to take all the chocs and goodies into school on Monday so we wont be tempted to eat them! Salmon chow mein for tea if I remember to take the fish out of the freezer. Also knitted another pair of slippers as after I had given some for christmas pressies I was asked to make more!

Not a lot to do today. Need to run Hoover over quickly and reload dw. Should be full load after lunch. Some washing to do but that could wait til tomorrow.

Feeling rather . BD keeps coming for a visit. Keep shooing it away but doesn't stay away for long. Hubby got given a bottle of Bailey's from work yesterday and the temptation to drink it is huge... Don't even like it...

Anyway I'm boring you now. I need to get moving and get ds dressed. Hugs all around

My DS's last day with us today, taking him to airport tomorrow to fly back to Alba. I worry about him as he's not in a good place atm. Need to get in his bedroom to make sure all the laundry is done for him to take back.
I go back to work on Monday Probably need some normality tbh. Went for a long walk on New Years day, and noticed buds on the trees, and in back garden yesterday spotted the rhubarb coming back. As someone on here said you can also see the difference in light in the afternoon. Roll on Spring.

I have been MIA over Christmas but have still read intermittently and just wanted to pop my head in to say jools, will be thinking of you and your family all day today and sending prayers, hugs and strengths your way.
