Travelling to South Africa - Visa required?

I will be travelling to Cape Town, South Africa in February with my family (hopefully anyway).
I'm a UK citizen and I am wondering if a visa is required to enter the country? And if so, does anyone know how it's done. Is it upon arrival, or does it need to be sorted before travelling?
Thanks!

From the foreign office website, "British nationals visiting South Africa on holiday for less than 90 days do not require visas."0

Yeah, no visa needed. They just stamp your passport with the date you need to have left the country by (3 months from entry)
Be prepared for a long queue at passport control in Cape Town. They don't have many people manning the gates. Get a seat at he front of the aircraft if possible. Have fun! Cape Town is lovely.Aiming to pay off £50,312.94 in less than 3 years - Starting from December 2015
