then my scalp is starting to itch
This happens to me when I have my braids put in every summer, but after a while it goes away!! And then it's ok for the next 3 months!

Does anyone remember a TV programme called Bodymatters from the '80s? They had this experiment where a woman didn't wash her hair for 7 weeks. She said it really smelt at first but then after 7 weeks she had really healthy hair.

I've often wondered if there was an alternative to the usual shampoos. I'll have a look out for Aveda and also the lush shampoo bars. Can they be bought at Superdrug etc..?

She had probably learned to tune out the smell by then. It would be interesting to know what her family and OH thought about it!

There was programme recently on BBC (some blond fortyish wannabe who is always bingeing and crash dieting for publicity) and blondie didnt wash but she did NOT stop smelling like a badger after a few days.

A general guide is use warm water, less soap and only ever buy the value stuff for 15p a bar, its as good as anything and lasts for ever, unlike some of the posher ones.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o

I too use olive oil and sea salt as an exfoliator and it works really well.
I use soap without any nasties from 'So Soapy' (you can buy mail order) and because I only live in the next village I get it dropped off when the producers are driving past my house. There is a shampoo bar but I've not tried it yet. They also do one for dogs!!!!
