iTunes/iPhone help please...

Hi,
I wasn't sure what section this should go in so if I'm in ten wrong place, please point me in the direction I should be

I got a new iPhone 4 yesterday, I've got my contacts,text message etc etc from iCloud but i was on my sons iTunes account and now he has all my contacts and text messages etc on his iPod.

I've set the iPhone 3 back to factory settings and now I want to set up my own iTunes account for my iPhone 4 but how do I do that? Also how do I get all my info off my sons iTunes and his iPod?

I've spent 24hrs trying to sort this out and I think I must be a bit thick as I just can't do it :rotfl:

If anyone could help I would REALLY appreciate it before I go mad

Have a couple of options depending how you want it to work..

1 - Disable cloud synching on your sons ipod so the contacts & messages do not update between devices.

2 - On your computer set up a new user profile, with its own music and library. which you can then synch with separate to your sons profile.. This would stop app purchases being shared between devices though.

3 - on theiphone - settings / icloud allow separate details to be used on each device for contacts etc, meaning that although music and apps maybe shared the contacts \ msgs \ photostream will not be shared between devices..

These are 'Or' options - 3 being the best of both worlds..
