I'm sick of seeing fat lazy people everywhere too ill to work but not too ill to be out shopping everyday and stuffing their face off the tax payer. Oxygen thieves in my book the lot of them, time for a cull I think!

How would you know people are on benefits just by looking at them? If you see people out all the time while you are shopping during the day don't you think they are making the same assumption about you being on benefits and not at work?

  • Because the likes of George Howell anoint themselves as judge and jury (probably even juryless knowing Tories attittude to jury trials) and executioner. hmm There are Professsionals who judge claims and hmm good decent streetwise something we lack here when it comes down to benefits.
If you have too low income you rely on high sugar fat salt foods= obesity, if you smoke typical working class thing more cost for taxpayer but fag manufacturers are cleaning up but we don't complain about that do we???? Obesogenic environments streets lined up with junk food shops and gambling in deprived areas, payday lenders.
I bet you live in a tree lined avenue from whence you can pontificate on those who are being forced into deeper and deeper poverty.
If you want to help support eqaulity benefits provision write to mp sign petitions, support judicial reviews etc (moi non lawyer) above all stop curtain twitching.

Well, I don't work but I'm not on benefits so you shouldn't jump to assumptions. I find it embarrassing that so many people on here seem to have a hatred for people on benefits. Talk about kicking people when they are down just to make yourself feel superior.:(

  • Exercise thing just another layer of micromanagement, might have some good but what if claimant mentally ill, going to extremes, say not as straightforward an issue as heaping condemnation and bile on the obese.

On the contrary, I want the DSS to be the judges and do their job properly, giving our money to the genuinely needy and deserving, and not doling out willy nilly to every lazy, f e c k less hard luck story merchant who come in whingeing, on the grounds that they are "vulnerable".

They can get obese on their own, earned money if they want, but not on our tax money thank you.

It's not the fatties fault if they live in an obesogenic environment.
Poor areas are rife with junk food joints. Lack of cooking skills and lack of taste in selecting cheap but delicious food further compounds it.
What if such measures bring on anorexia or other eating disorders?
OMG how rude and offensive.
