it doesn't interest me either, stick to 7 if you can find something you like.
Suggest you go and play with a few machines in shops, and find one you like, rather than being influenced too much by comments on forums. The design of laptops do vary, and one bad feature that you can't get a feel for by looking at pictures on the internet could ruin the experience.!!

I think that's probably a good idea but I tend to find most okay. Just want windows 7 and under £400 but you showed me Windows 8.Cup of Tea? :coffee:0

I was pointing out that at the time you posted (post christmas prices are erratic, the i5 I mentioned in the other thread has gone up in price dramatically in the last couple of days), the specs where a bit low for £400. W8 is what is being deployed on new machines, whether the consumers like it or not. W9 gui will probably be another back to basics rethink I suspect.!!

Microsoft any their ways. I am living off using a tablet and for a multi tasker this isn't great. Off to pc world tomorrow and a quick search online while I'm there. I have nearly £100 in amazon vouchers so I guess I could stretch my budget to £500 but I'm not sure if I need to.Cup of Tea? :coffee:0

I went laptop searching today and the stores have removed all the Windows 7 laptops apart from a few not worth looking at! Windows 8 was not to the point so I'm online again. I've been looking at the Asus laptop in the first post but it is very heavy which is not good as I travel. I also guess I could get mire than 500gb for the money.
Please throw your Windows 7 suggestions to me (anyone who is reading this topic).Cup of Tea? :coffee:0 -
I will probably use it for video editing, photoshop etc.
I have been looking at Windows 8 more and thinking I could give it a try. Could I get a good Asus in my budget?Cup of Tea? :coffee:0
