police pressing charges

hi, just thought i would post my wifes problem. she got a job on november (yay this will get us out of debt) after a month the boss said he hasn`t payed her yet because there was a problem with the bank so my wife said "no problems i understand". he said it will be in tomorrow and guess what ! it wasn`t , a week later still no joy. so michel took a phone call from her the girl who had her job before her asking to speak to the boss . and you guessed it she left because he didn`t pay her, and this girl had taken him to a tribunal and he didn`t turn up. thats good you would think but no ! a tribunal can`t make him pay her wages, so the next step would be county court (and that has costs). anyway my wife decided to contact some previous employees and 6 people left because he didn`t pay them, so she has got them all together and they are all taking him to tribunal (bet he doesn`t show up). so my wife was helping make a website for her boss and she told him it wasn`t ready go live because he had used pictures on the site from another site and that was illegal . so she put a password on the sit until she had changed the picture (she had still not been payed yet) . so she left as if he wasn`t going to pay she shouldn`t be working for him. next thing the police are at our house pressing charges against my wife because she had put a password on the site, the boss got into the site and made it live , even though my wife had emailed him saying it wasn`t legal. so we`re of to thepolice station on saturday and my wife is BEING CHARGED FOR PUTTING A PASSWORD ON THE SITE...... THE LAW MUST CHANGE , EVEN THE POLICMAN SAID IT WAS STUPID.

No idea what you are going on about.0

i dont understand; what are the charges against her?0

Has she even been interviewed formally by the police, them wanting to speak to her about an allegation made is massively different to them charging her with something.
Are you sure it was really even the police? Not just someone the boss got to ring to try and scare her?
You say the law needs to change but I can't even begin to think what law your referring to and you haven't said?0 -

He's behind you!
Should be all over next week, hopefully, when the kiddie winkies will be all back at school. Meanwhile, just humour them

just to clarify , since she and the other ex employee`s are taking him to a tribunal (he`s no turned up to 3 already) he is obviously just being a **** . the REAL POLICE turned up at our door and she has to attend the local police station on saturday. they are interviewing her and said they will be charging her for changing the password on the company`s pc. i have spoken to my friend who is a REAL POLICE OFFICER and he said he is obviously just trying to cause trouble for her because she is taking him to tribunal. he said it is a grey area and could be construde as a minor criminal offence and she would probably get a caution, we are about to call the solicitor she is using to take him to employment tribunal. but he has told us it is probably a pointless ventture as he just won`t turn up and he obviously knows the system0

Oh dear..
Sorry but try some capital letters (at the front of sentences I mean) , punctuation marks and separating text in paragraphs as it is simply pain on the eyes to attempt to read.0 -
He can be charged with fraud for asking people to work and not paying them......
I think there is more to this that we dont know.....0 -
Ive just wasted 5 minutes of my life reading this that I will never get back, sigh.........make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
DEAR getting ready, i`m sorry i didn`t realize all posts had to be grammer perfect. You are obviously a much more advanced human than me and for that i apologies. only came on to share our troubles and tell people about the tribunals and the way the law seems to work. if your ex employer doesn`t turn up there`s nothing that you can do unless you pay up and take them to court "merseyside employment law`s quote"0
