Probably zero. Can you sell the phone and buy a new one with the cash you receive? What phone did you get?
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Check your contract. What is your cooling off period? Normally its two weeks but you may be lucky...

Also, what phone is it and who is your network provider? I can give you more specific tips on increasing battery life etc if know the specifics. :)

    'Too big'? Are you serious?
    Not probably zero-absolutely zero.
As above, all you can do is sell the handset on.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

these cooling off periods are usually only valid if the phone has not been used.

OP.... I'm sorry, but no chance! You signed an 18/24 month contract and you are stuck in it unless you die I'm afraid!

Your best bet would to do as another poster suggested, sell the phone and use the £ to buy a replacement. However be warned, if you buy another smart phone (i am guessing this is what you have at the moment), the battery isnt likely to last much longer.
  • You're probably better off selling it. If you still have the box and accessories etc, then you should get a good price for it.
    I am a moneysaver
  • It's only O2 I think now that give you a two week change of mind period - anything outside of that and you're pretty much stuck in I'm afraid.

Some companies/branches of companies also might let you change the handset within that time but that's pretty rare and it has to be on the same tariff.

P.S. battery life on most smart phones is pretty poo...make sure the brightness isn't on full, check you've got some sort of background app killer running and that things like bluetooth are turned off. A lot of phones have a battery analyser built in now so that might let you see where the power is draining.
