I am no expert, but I guess that the details are the same as every Vanquis customer must have for making payments by a bank transfer, i.e. sort code, account number and 16-digit card number as the reference.charlottep88 wrote: »Oh I plan on closing it! Me neither. I'm tempted to ring Vanquis and ask why they wouldn't give the bank details to Natwest to transfer the balance. I have heard of other RBS/Natwest customers being able to transfer from Vanquis to their RBS card so I will be really frustrated if I can't do it.
I guess the other way would be to make a payment to Vanquis from the CC for the full balance. Although I would on get 0% for 6 months (as a purchase) rather than for 13 months (as a BT)
I don't understand why they have to make it so difficult.0 -
You can't make a CC payment to another CC.charlottep88 wrote: »...I guess the other way would be to make a payment to Vanquis from the CC for the full balance. Although I would on get 0% for 6 months (as a purchase) rather than for 13 months (as a BT)0 -
You can't make a CC payment to another CC.
No I didn't think so but Vanquis said it would go through as Debit transaction :S Spoken to Natwest again and they said it will go through, I just need to wait for my new CC to come through and give them the security which they can then use with Vanquis to make the BT. Must be to do with the details that Vanquis require to make the BT.
Hopefully, this will all be sorted this time next week!0 -
This makes no sense to me. It's Natwest who process the balance transfer, not Vanquis.
The balance transfer is in fact the money transfer from Natwest to Vanquis (push).
You cannot use your Natwest card details to make a payment to Vanquis (pull).0 -

The details on on Vanquis' website:How can I make a payment to my account?
Over the Phone or Online:
Via your bank’s telephone or internet banking service, you can make a one off payment or set up a standing order. Simply quote the following details: (1) Our sort code: 60-95-94, (2) Our bank account number: 0000 0001 and (3) Your Vanquis 16 digit card account number. Please allow 3-5 working days for your payment to reach your account via this method.0 -
Oh I'm so confused but anyway Natwest said they are going to deal with it ASAP!0

Thats interesting I wonder if that means people who have a balance to transfer from a creation card can do so without paying a fee. You could just get a 0% purchases card and pay off your creation bill.Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -

In practice, this is correct. I have paid on a couple of occasions from my Capital One card to my Creation card (not a very good practice you should do I should add) and have not been charged any fee, this is even without a 0% on purchases offer on my Capital One.0
