Sorry don't understand.
Are you referring to Severn Trent who were charged with supplying false data on leakage figures in period 2000 to 2002?
I am the first to point out that the methods of charging for water and sewerage are a mess. However it is because their profits are effectively guaranteed they have no incentive to sort matters out and, as there is a ceiling on those profits, they have no incentive to 'overcharge'(defraud) customers.0 -
No, I'm not referring to Severn Trent. Nor, particularly, am I referring to water services charging methods, or even "overcharging".
The Water Co in question spent over £20,000 of their bill-payers money on legal costs, to defraud me of £1,800. They will never recover this money as their claim has already been before a court, and been dealt with. (They won't tell me exactly how much they spent, as they say it's "legally privileged" information.) It's probably none of their bill-payers' business either. I, on the other hand, have a chance of recovering my money as it was obtained by Fraud.
They (a private company) also, with a cable TV company (also a private company), by negligence, caused £320,000 worth of damage to a public highway, for which they paid the sum of ..............£0.00. The reconstruction of this major highway was finally paid for, from the public purse.0 -
That's alright. We can each pay a little more to make up for your dishonesty.
It was their dishonesty which made me question whether I should pay or not: they threatened to have me put up in front of a judge so I could be forced to pay them money I didn't owe - big mistake.
If it costs others more, and they don't like it, then the correct party to complain to is South Staffs - who caused me to not pay due to their fraudulent activity. Analogy (kind of): I break in to your house to try and steal your stuff; you prevent me from stealing your stuff; I then ask if you can instead give me some money. I think you wouldn't give me a penny.
On top of that ST unlawfully obtained money from a friend via their benefit with the connivance of the DWP (Third Party Deductions). This was a lot of fun to deal with, especially seeing the DWP barristers squirming in their seats whilst being told off by the judge.
These people often think they are above the law and in my book that's good enough reason to take them down a peg or two. If one or two civilians suffer collateral damage then all I can say is that that's the price of going to war (with me). And my friend is now in a position of power because the DWP are scared to authorise any more TPDs and it looks like ST are a bit reluctant to take it to court - though they might, but so what? Let them spend your money chasing a debt that ain't gonna be paid.
Oops - looks like I have hijacked another thread - sorry OP.0 -
Funny, these replies have been up a couple of days, and no-one has yet said the words used were "puerile".0
