Thanks for this. The assistant said their (Asda's) cameras do not come with a card - so I will wait and see. I can then compare Asda's price with the one you quoted. It's all double dutch to me - and then I see a post that Superdrug have half price Vivitar's till Monday!! But I have had a Canon for over 12 years - so think i will stick with them.

Thanks for your post too, I rang Dagenham and got them to reserve my sister one. Will return the Fuji to Colindale as the A430 is a much better camera, and cheaper!

They weren't reduced last night. I just picked one up and she reduced it to £40 from £56 right there and then. There were still a few left there, but I didn't see any on display, so you need to ask them to check under the counter. And I can confirm that a Canon 16MB MMC card came in the box, which is as good as not having one if yo ask me. A nice camera, but the screen on the back is very small, but for £40...bargain!!! At my ASDA they were on display for 58 quid -scanned at 40 though...

Also bought my sister a Fuji Finepix A400 for £50, but looking around on the internets it appears that's not as big a bargain. But still, she needed a basic P&S camera so she's still pleased with it.

I tracked one down in Asda in High Wycombe (live in South London) but well worth it.
