  • I've started buying mark down soft fruit and freezing with great results for smoothies, today morrisons had loads of tubs of blueberries and mango, for pennies.

I have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, mango, banana, pineapple and papaya on the go at the moment.

The blueberries go in as they are and come out all nice and lose. Everything else I single layer them to freeze them shove it all in a tub then can pick out the pieces to mix and match.

My son loves smoothies, so I just take a handful of each and put straight in the blender frozen with a glug of apple juice for the liquid and he gets a lovely smoothie.
