Frozen berries etc.

As there's just the two of us at home most of the time I now buy frozen sliced mushroom, onion, mixed peppers and all my veg. It gives me more room in my fridge, no waste and no tears. I'll try the berries as there's only me who eats them.
Please can you tell me where you get frozen mushrooms? They had never heard of them in Tescos, and it's quite a trek to other supermarkets for me only to find they don't keep them either.0 -
Lidl have frozen mushrooms on offer this week 1kg bag for £1.49.

Thank you! I can't get there 'til tomorrow so hope they still have some. That is such a good price - somebody told me yesterday that they'd seen them in Asda £1 for 100gr!0 -
I've tried Tescos frozen berries. The raspberries were delicious!! The strawberries were terrible! I'm afraid I had to throw most of them away.
I buy frozen chicken breasts. They don't look as good as fresh ones, but chopped in a stirfry or curry, no one knows the difference.Because it's fun to have money!

The majority of my veg I buy frozen. I eat tons of broccoli and cauliflower and the big bags are about £1 and last me a good few meals. I buy the value frozen mixed veg for the kids as its chopped nice and small.
I always keep chopped onion and mushrooms in the freezer so it's on hand when I make a spaghetti Bol.
One of the veg I don't like to cook from frozen is swede. I use swede as a substitute for mashed potato but the frozen stuff is just too watery. It's a right shame because chopping a fresh swede is a blooming nightmare and the ready chopped fresh stuff is expensive.
I've never been a fan of frozen fruit, always find it tastes a bit funny. Still, I'm going to try it again as I spend a fortune on soft fruit and could really do with budgeting better! If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0 -

Delighted to say that I picked up two bags from Lidl which should last a good while. I didn't think to look for onion/peppers whilst in Lidls and sadly I'm nowhere near Asda.0 -
Sainsbury's do frozen mushrooms which are usually on a 2 for £2.50 deal. As I think has been mentioned they have frozen herbs and chilli. All are fine for just throwing in a pan and frying straight from frozen. They also have a quite nice Mediterranian veg selection with aubergine, courgettes and peppers (larger slices than the normal frozen peppers)0

I buy frozen onions alot as it saves me ending up looking like Alice Cooper. They are great for things like stews, spag bol ect, just throw them in frozen especially great in a slow cooker.
I have brought the frozen garlic cubes and the are so much better than the jars of chopped ones.
Frozen broc and cauli are always great to have and of course sprouts.
Farmfoods do big bags of all and I think its 3 bags for £2 and 3 bags of onions for £1.0
