indeed, how did you find out?!:beer:0

It seems to be only on the standard tarrifs again, anyone who stays on BG standard tarif wants their head testing.0

Nicely timed... almost certainly announced now to shift the flak they're getting regarding customer service.0

I don't think that those pathetic price cuts will stem the unhappy BG customers leaving in droves! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Until this year's price decreases they were the most expensive... there are still two or three companies companies cheaper than them on average (standard tariff, depending on your region). In addition, the customer service has been appaling for a couple of years now. All of the major suppliers including BG now offer discounted online tariffs which can give substanial savings against standard rates, so you would be better off on those.0

The new price cuts apply to their Standard tariff and their 2008 price guarantee tariff, but unfortunately not Click Energy.
BG Click Energy is one of the cheapest tariffs on the market; possibly the cheapest for some people.
Their other tariffs – particularly electricity – are pretty competitive for those who don’t want an Internet run account – and when you pay by DD.
Unfortunately their customer relations service is still abysmal; largely down to their appalling computer system; this will take a long while to live down even when/if they get it right.
Their past performance has given them a legacy of ex-customers who have, at times, an irrational hatred toward the company. In much the same way as my Granddad would never buy anything German or Japanese because of WW2, I doubt BG will ever be able to win back these customers.0 -
A friend of mine just a billing enquiry with British Gas - the over billed him by £260.00.
When he called to sort it out the advisor said he could'nt help as it takes 3 month to sort it out, then he refused to put my mate on to a Manager before cutting him off!
My friend has now complained to Energywatch who say it will take them two weeks to sort it out....at least they know what to do!
STAY AWAY FROM BRITISH GAS......I CAN GIVE YOU PLENTY OF HORROR STORIES!0 -
It does not say whether the new Essentials tariff (those on winter rebate scheme) has reduced by same amount and can't find any mention on BG website.
Just found a reference that it is same as standard dd tariff0
