Sometimes it is quite scary when you sit down and write it all down and total it all up. I think the hardest part is over though and you know how much there is and you have set a plan in motion.
And you have already had a couple of NSDs :T
Would it be better to share the burden with your OH though, you may get it paid off quicker that way?Just keep swimming!0 -

Oh dear ! I know i have been neglecting my diary here but never realised that it has been soooo long since i wrote
Things are ticking along, no major breakthroughs with the debt busting, have put my debt onto a 0% interest card for 23 months, it does feel better for some reason to have the debt in one place- does that make sense ?
I cannot afford to pay it all off in 23 months but i hope that by then i will shift what i owe to another 0% interest card.
January whizzed by, i paid the minimum payment to the CC and each week i saved £14 (£2 a day ) in a savings account. I am saving for Christmas 2013I think £2 a day is acheivable, and by Christmas , i will have £700
!!!!
However, i must confess......... I tried this last year and failed miserably, i kept chipping into it and stealing my own savings05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

Still plodding along, nothing major has happened on the money front. Have stuck to withdrawing cash at the start of the week and not using my Debit card, this way i keep on track of my spends.
The weekly meal planner works too, fewer trips to the shops and being tempted by their bargains...........saying that, i did buy the Valentines £20 M&S meal deal yesterdayBut it was so delicious that i do not feel too guilty

Didn't want to read and run. Our debts are very close in amount and i also cannot tell my OH as he cleared my debts for me and i think he would leave me if i told him. I too am hoping i should be able to clear £200 per month. I was hoping to pay it all by our holiday in May 2015 but i don't think i will be able to do this. It gives me 27 months which comes to about £5,500. If i can actually do this i will be very happy.
I do have some stuff to show for my debt but i am now in the process of selling as much as i can to bring in some more money.

Hi Honeypooh, welcome. I shall subscribe to your diary & I hope we can support each other.
Not a bad week, I am taking out a set amount of cash at the start of the week and leaving my debit card at home so that i am not tempted to use it.
Have a boost when i see my savings for Christmas (I save £2 a day ) I may be fooling myself though, is it right to save when i have over £9,000 in debt  But, i have never been able to save so I am trying to prove something to myself
On my days off from work I am trying to fill my time doing housework, baking and avoiding the shops. Luckily my chooks are laying well, so i can make lots of fairy cakes for the DC.
Its heading towards the end of the fianancial year at work so overtime has been stoppedI need to do a couple of extra shifts to throw at the CC. I hope its a temporary thing, as it has been in the past.
