Happy New Year !! :j
This is my 3rd diary on here.........:( Whilst, i have really been supported in the past by all of you, i still get myself in an awful mess with money. My aim 2 years ago was to be debt free by March 2013, how i wish that was true !!! I obviously never reached that target
My debt now consists of 2 CCs (i need to total the amount ) and a NEXT directory.
My debt is purely my own, i am too ashamed to share it with my DH, and i will not.
I think it is about £8,000

I am yet to find time to look at the final balances on my CCs, they are both on 0% interest until the end of the year but i think i will apply for the CC that is 24 months interest free and transfer the balance of both.
If i am accepted for the CC, all my debt will be in one place and i will give myself 24 months to clear it.
Spent just under £16 today, needed cleaning bits & pieces but went to Wilkinsons, so got it cheap. Pasta for tea, so not an expensive day.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

I have just checked the balances of my CCs, i owe a total of £9,427  This is more than i thought, i thought it was about 8000.
The worst of it is, i do not know what i have spent it all on, that sounds so stupid, but it is true, i am almost £10,000 in debt and have nothing to show for it, very frightening.
However, i have applied on line for a 0% CC to shift it all onto, and i have been acceptedTherefore the debt will be 0% for 23 months.
I cannot afford to pay it off in 23 months as that would mean paying £409 each month.
I am going to pay £200 or £250 each month, and see how i go.
This will mean working overtime when it is available, and really being careful, but i think it is possible.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

Amazing what you can knock up out of the cupboard. I'm having home cooked egg fried rice this eve instead of a chinese take away.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Congratulations on facing up to the challenge and being so positive
It must be scary to discover how much you owe, but at least you have a good plan to get that total down - the 0% credit cards is a good idea to give yourself a little more breathing space.
Good luck :grouphug:0 -
Thanks to you all for popping into my diary
Had a very productive day, cleared the entire washing basket, all ironed and hung up in wardrobes, cleaned the chicken run (no eggs recentlymust be the chiily weather- refuse to buy any!), made bread (easy peasy thanks to Lorraine Pascale). Very pleased with myself and intend to open a bottle of wine very soon.:D
The 0 % interst CC has not arrived yet (been approved), so am yet to shift the debts, will do it as soon as it arrives and set up a Direct Debit to pay the monthly minimum and then chip away at it, i aim to pay £200 0r £250 each month .
Does anyone know what the minimum monthly payment would be for a CC with £9,800 ?05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs
