Astounding that M&S still leave phones unanswered until people just hang up. I wouldn't want to have any deposits with them - imagine the nightmare if you needed to talk to them about a withdrawal!

25 minutes on hold and still waiting. I have a query and need to talk to them.

Argh, this is becoming a right pain. Two forms from NS&I arrived today - one to transfer into cash ISA, second cash into direct. Phoned to ask what number to enter under 'your NS&I Cash ISA account number -(essential)'. I was told they do not accept transfers in :@ Don't understand why they have a form for it then!?! Any clues? Or am i back to square 1?

Well decided to apply for tesco bank. Instant access at 2.5% (inc .5% bonus 12months).

I was just waiting to read the whole thread before mentioning Tesco and there it is on the very last post. My son opened a Tesco ISA last night online which he was able to access immediately, printed off the form for tranferring his old ISA and sent it off today. All very painless and easy enough to do.
