Finally spoke to Southern re: my refund- £9.90 going back on my card in a few days. Meeting OH for a drink in a minute, will get him on the blower to the insurance peeps to get the DD changed.
eBay auctions seem to be ticking over ok, I just need to put my bike on gumtree before the weekend to hopefully get a buyer.
The virgin credit card will be another 6-10 days to arrive as my application got held up in the fraud department. At least I now have an email saying its definitely coming and the limit.
Just need to find out the largest item I can stuff into an envelope and send with a stamp on it to hopefully squeeze an extra couple of quid from my eBay.

DD unable to be changed as its already been requested from his account. I'll just have to keep my eye on it for a few days and make sure the money is there to cover it. Went out for dinner with OH last night. My share of it was £41 (he has a way of making sure I pay more- the cheek of it. He has it in his brain that I have way more money than I do and that he is poor, er no, not true!!) Need to put a stop to that.
I'm so glad it's Friday. Just need to get through the day at work (have a feeling it ain't going to be pretty). Then go home, send mums birthday card, take the dog out, put bike on gumtree and clean the flat in preparation for the weekend...LBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. OH got paid today, feeling a bit better about the finances now. I pay for everything out of my monthly salary and then he pays back his share of the bills out of his weekly salary. This means, if he doesn't get paid, I'm out of pocket until he does...
Also, think I've just managed to get £100 in M&S vouchers out of Sky, so that'll definitely help towards Christmas (planning ahead a bit I know!!)
Should only finish around 45 mins late tonight, better get off this forum and go do some work... Need to get home to complete my other moneysaving activity for the week!

Feeling a bit knackered actually! Got a nice little No 7 glitchy deal today (as per grabbit forum) today, I like to get stuff like that to feel like I'm still shopping a bit.
Waiting for auctions to finish, a few more quid would be nice I might say. Keeping my fingers crossed. Still haven't sorted the bike. I'll take a picture of it on my way out tonight and upload the sale on the train. Apart from that, I just feel so lazy today, nothing else will be achieved. £60 paid from ebay so far. Will get about another £15 if they pay up. I'm hoping I've judged the postage right and that I can pass a few items off as large envelopes.
Still haven't put the darned bike up for sale, but I have cleaned the flat. As usual, I've spent more than I'd like lately (blame OH and the never ending spending) but at least my refunds/ebaying balances it out a bit.
Told him today how it !!!!es me off that he just wastes his money and then constantly expects me to pick up the tab. He was a bit apologetic.LBM early Jan 2013. Massively underestimated my postage cost on x1 item, so my total profit from ebay will be about £60. At least it helps to balance the spends.
Had a little think about the OH situation. He had less money than usual to live off this week as he was paying me back for his tatoo (which he hadn't budgeted for). Hence, why he has no money now (although this is also due to him not being careful). The thing that was irritating me was that I felt that OK, he paid me back as agreed, but what's the point if I then have to pay for everything for him all week! He paid me back £150, but I've paid out £50 on stuff for him this week. So, I've written down what I've spent on him and when, and he can pay me back. It will obviously take longer than planned, but at least I will get the money and I won't feel annoyed (and I hate for money to cause bad vibes).LBM early Jan 2013. NSD today
Apart from having to give OH £10 at his request. He will pay me back eventually though, it's gone on the list! Just need to go home and package up my final ebay item. LBM early Jan 2013. Virgin Money credit card arrived yesterday (0% until August 2015). Did a £3000 money transfer to my current account. Therefore, I've paid off my overdraft and about £700 which was on my credit card from New York (which would have been paid off by the end of the month anyway from OH's rent money. Makes my debts much easier to understand as now it's all consolidated into my unsecured loan and the virgin money card.
I'm not at all worried about the virgin money card now, as it's 0% for another 26 months. This just means that I need to save £115 a month to pay it off by that time. As far as I'm concerned, if I'm not paying interest on it, I'm not worried about it. What bothers me much more is the unsecured loan, which I am paying a whopping amount of interest on.
So, the grand plan is to save whatever money I can, in order to clear the loan ASAP. Whilst having a life (hopefully!) The virgin card will be the last one that I tackle.
I'm feeling determined, because my loan repayment is currently £375 a month
Life would be so much better if only I didn't have to pay it!
The difficulty is, I don't really have anything left to ebay/sell for extra income. I need to find a way of bringing in some more bucks, without exhausting myself doing loads of extra work. Since this looks to be difficult until I (hopefully) get some inspiration, I need to try and spend less.
My main out going is food, so I need to research eating for less....
Hope everyone else's money saving is going well.... xLBM early Jan 2013. Debt to clear at LBM (£25,804) £15,187. Barclaycard £1980 Unsecured Natwest loan £7216. Virgin Money £5991 (@0% until Aug 2015). Natwest credit card £0. Halifax overdraft £1000.0 -
Evening fellow money savers...
Glad it's the weekend again... I'm feeling tired after my weekend away so am intending to have a quiet one.
Ah good old ebay! Had a bit of a tidy up yesterday and ended up with a whole bin bag of stuff to put on there (after thinking I couldn't possibly have anything else left to sell!) Apparently, the best time for an auction to end is Sun-Thurs 7-9pm so after I finish here I'm going to go and upload that lot for sale (with a scheduled end time, maybe I'll get a bit more money this time). So that 's this evening's task.
Tomorrow morning, I will get onto the food thing. Reading on the forums here, it seems that you should do an inventory of your food cupboards first (I am guessing to try and build meals/buy minimally to go with what you already have). It makes sense, so I'll give that a go.
Right, must stop slacking!! Time to ebay!!

11 items listed yesterday
2 auctions to finish Wednesday evening, 9 on Thursday. I've paid back all my debts post New York trip so don't have any wriggle room this month now (and it's 5 weeks to pay day!!) so I hope I'll get lucky.
Still feeling jet lagged (not helped by the fact I only just got up!) so I'm going to spend the day at home sorting stuff out. The flat needs some TLC so I am about to arm myself with the cleaning spray and do that. No doubt I'll be back on here later on...
