Santa delivered a nexus 7.

Well Santa was kind this year and delivered a nexus 7. So far in very pleased and surprised by it.
Currently putting more books on than I'll probably ever read.

I'm sure others out there have them too or similar so wondered what apps/widgets people would recommend?

Isnt this a bit like asking colour to pick or flavour to pick, impossible to say. Only you will know what you require

But it doesn't stop others saying what flavors they like! And perhaps a good suggestion will come up. There's thousands out there, way too many to search through, so surely suggestions of what others found useful/fun etc could prove helpful.

Ah right, you can't be bothered to search yourself. OK

Come on guys, it's only a question, spirit of goodwill and all that. You didn't need to reply at all you know.

OP I've just spent hours with a sudoko app I downloaded free to my Nexus.

I also like 'Words with Friends (scrabble) and Draw Something.

I have the Nexus Media Importer and MX player (for watching films).

I also downloaded Sonic The Hedgehog. :o:D

    And the Kindle app.

I've only just started, I'm sure I'll find all manner of rubbish soon. :D

Think a couple of people might have new years hangovers...

iPlayer's good, along with the TV Catchup which let's you watch any terrestrial TV channel live.. Good if you're traveling / hotel etc..

I like the Broken Sword games - old school point and click adventures remade for touch screen

Spotify and TuneIn are great for music

WordHero and Solitaire are my favourite games for day to day play

Make sure to get the Amazon and EBay apps if you shop on there, easier to use on your tablet than the websites

Have you ever had a friend recommend a film. One that you would not normally consider, not your style so to speak, but you decide to give it a go anyway due too it being recommended only to find that its a diamond in the rough?
That is why i asked for recommendations.
