wombling is when you find a receipt in the supermarket of choice and then if the receipt hasnt been used with a loyalty card you go to customer service and say that you forgot to give your card in and you get the points credited to your card. I think you have around 2 weeks to get the points put on. I have done it in sainsbury but not co op or tesco... yet!

In asda i use the receipts to check the apg, have been lucky in the past and printed off vouchers

Well you learn something new everyday guess i assume most would .

lynsey in asda whats the apg? printable vouchers?

im not a asda lover i have tried.do love their non food store though.

If you have Nectar, download the app and you get more points. For example, last year, I selected 150 points when I bought the Lenor 33 washes fabric conditioner. It was half price at the time and bought 3. I didn't just get 150, but 450!

Also if you get till spits for 100 extra points for buying a certain product, you can use this coupon if you find it with a YS! I have bought things for 30p and got 100 points for it.

If you have a PAYG phone, you can collect points when you top up your credit.

Be careful with this regarding Sainsburys receipts! We have banned a customer from doing this. She was extreme by claiming points from receipts from transactions that were made within 2 mins. We are now told to destroy any receipt that isn't picked up.

I call this deceitful sorry. And all supermarkets need to do to stop it is to ask you to produce the debit card used to pay for the transaction with. Or match up the one on your loyalty card account if you've ever ordered online.

If an employee did that s/he would be fired.

Unless it is a cash transaction (oh - I forgot my CC and so had to use cash, but could I have the points now, please?).

Yes - I've seen people pay with a bundle of notes.

I do get large shops £70+ where the customer pays by cash. I say that is 20% of these shops.

No supermarket is the same as it depends who shops there and their ideal method of payment. I have seen customers pay 12p with a debit card before!

I pay for my shopping cash as i prefer it i take the money out the bank before i go. Infact i pay for most things cash, i think it makes you think rather than handing over a bit of plastic and punching in a few numbers. It's my prefered choice anyway.
