Meh, annoyed at British Gas putting their prices up by 9% - so much for hoping to get our DD down a bit!
Today has been another NSD and we've had chicken in a pesto sauce with rice for tea, which is very yummy and straight forward. DH has fixed the light outside so it works now, he's so clever and we've had chicken in a pesto sauce with rice for tea, which is very yummy and straight forward. In not so good news, looks like my Macbook is on the blink can't justify the expense of a new one at the moment (or ever...!) so I'm hoping it'll last a little longer. I get an educational discount on them, but it's not as much as it used to be, plus they're now more expensive. can't justify the expense of a new one at the moment (or ever...!) so I'm hoping it'll last a little longer. It's the weekend
I've had a pretty lazy morning, which has been nice it's so gloomy outside, it makes me want to hibernate! I've put some washing on, done the hoovering, and not much else so far! I will have to go into town this afternoon as I need to get a couple of birthday presents, plus we need to do the food shopping. it's so gloomy outside, it makes me want to hibernate! Has anyone got any recommendations for films? Me and DH have got a cinema voucher to use up as it expires soon, but can't seem to agree on a film :rotfl:Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

We saw it last weekend in Toronto. Mr MWC really wanted to see it, I wasn't too fussed, however we both really enjoyed it. The cinematography and visual effects are pretty special :cool:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
 Mortgage-free: January 2021
 Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)0

Do you *need* a MacBook? I'm amazed at how quickly the prices of netbooks/tablets/ChromeBooks/etc. are coming down.
Unless you're bound to proprietary software, I think Apple stuff is largely shiny for its own sake.
Before I just sound like I'm wagging my finger at you and saying 'tut tut', we spent £800 on an overpowered laptop about a year ago. Lovely machine, but regret the cost.0

I have one at the moment, which I saved up for and could justify at the time. I probably need to have a good think about whether I can justify it again this time around. I love them, but they're so expensive.

Great - I'm going to see it soon A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort Mortgage Balance = £0 Mortgage Balance = £0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0

No I haven't - shall look at that one too!
So, nothing much planned for today. I was hoping to get out in the garden as it's becoming a bit of a wilderness again, but it's raining at the moment, so I don't think I'll get out there today. Oh well
We're off to DH's parents for tea tonight - I'm secretly hoping for a roast dinner followed by crumble followed by crumble saves me cooking too! saves me cooking too!
Can't wait until payday on Friday - I've not made any OPs this month so far, and it's annoying me! I'm still aiming to be under £113,000 by the end of the year, but it'll be tight.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I'm not Scottish and I loved it! Mind you, my daughter was at Edinburgh Uni, so we recognised lots of places in the film 0 Mind you, my daughter was at Edinburgh Uni, so we recognised lots of places in the film 0
