SF's road to mortgage freedom!

I got a phone call this morning enquiring about tutoring, and after a conversation, I now have my second pupil. So, it's a few more pennies in the pot
means I'll be even more knackered, but hey ho!
It's absolutely chucking it down herebut I'm going to go to yoga tonight at 8PM, for the first time in about 5 years. It's at a new place, so I'm strangely nervous
(in case i'm carp at it) but it'll do me good in the long run
so even though I don't want to leave the sofa, I'm going to make myself go. It's an hour, and it'll make me hopefully feel more relaxed.
Can't believe it's nearly the end of January already....!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Yoga was good thanks - very relaxing
I have booked myself onto Pilates tomorrow night to give that a try, aparently it's lots harder though!
NSD today - not been anywhere. School is still really busy and I'm not sleeping well (again) so I'm shattered as per usual. I'm aiming to be in bed by 9PM tonight, even if it's just in bed and reading.
I'm pondering February's budgets this evening. I'm wondering if I can cut back a bit, where nears to be re-thought in terms of numbers, and general spendy things. At least it's a shorter month, so the time in between paydays will be slightly shorter!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

So, the interest has been added onto our mortgage account - all I can say is I'm glad that we're over paying as well as the normal monthly payments, otherwise it would be a very very slow process. I keep trying to think of ways to make sure we can keep up the momentum for the entire length of the road, but it's pretty difficult to see how, especially if a/some children appear on the way....
Me and DH went out for a curry last night with some friends, and I didn't finish all mine, so it's leftover curry for lunch todayyum! We shared a rice and a naan bread and there's lots of rice left too - I don't understand how people can eat one rice/meal/naan to themselves!
We're going round to DH's parents tonight for a meal, so that'll be nice and means we don't have to buy as much for this weekmight get a bottle of wine on the way over there, but that's nothing really.
I think I'm coming down with a coldI feel a bit rubbish and can't stop sneezing, and I slept in til 11am today:eek: which is definitely not like me! We're going to look at some furniture this afternoon, but apart from that I'm going to have a chilled weekend I think. This would be a great time for some kitten cuddles, but still nowhere near
sigh.

Something came to me the other day but forgot until now- not sure where you're going to be tutoring but if at home (and sure you'll have thought of this already) make sure your house insurance covers working at home / if any accidents were to happen.
Have a lovely time tonight ..... kitten cuddles will happen - can you get in the same room as then yet?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

taxi - it was a lovely night, thanks
Gosh, I'm such a worrier. I keep playing worst-case scenarios in my head, and trying to work out what kind of money reserves we'd need to get by. Why is money the root of everything?
I think it's because I'm finding work hard at the moment, but it's making me think more and more about the future, and what I want/don't want to do. I want to be able to cut down hours at work when we have children. I don't want to work until I'm 67. I don't want to kill myself working. I want both me and DH to retire early and to have enough money to make that possible. But, what scares me is that I don't know if that'll be possible. So many things can change. I need to remember to enjoy the present, whilst worrying about the future. Almost obsessive....
I keep wanting things, things that we're told we need and will make our lives better. Then, I remember that I don't need them, and to be honest, they probably wouldn't make my life any better. As nice as driving a land rover would be, we can't afford it. As nice as it would to go away this summer and lounge in the sun, we can't afford it. And so on. But, do we need all of that? No, not really. We have our new house and the kittens, and with a bit of sunshine and each other, that's all we need really. It's quite simple when you think about it.
I keep feeling down at the moment and can't work out why. I can't seem to shake it off either.
That wasn't supposed to be such a depressing post
Been food shopping today and got petrol. Going to make a crumble for pudding tonight, fancy something warm and comfortingBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

A wee (((huggle))) from me ..... do you know what I think's wrong..... (could be totally wrong of course but) .....
You had such an exciting year last year - building up to the wedding.... the honeymoon ... getting used to being Mr & Mrs ...... looking for the house .... finding the house .... moving into the house ...... looking for a new job .... finding the new job .... waiting to start the new job ..... finally starting the new job ..... etc etc etc
Oh my!
No wonder you've got a case of the blues - normality has returned!:)
The time of year won't help!
