You've managed so well on maternity leave and will strike that balance now you've gone back. Hope DS starts sleeping better for you soon, you'll feel like new people once he does. SF, are you still pursuing passive income through dividend investing? I ask as I haven't had a chance to catch up with your blog in quite a while. How is that going?
I can't believe that you have returned to work already, what a trooper! Mrs E goes back at the end of the week, she's a little nervous about leaving DD, even when it's with family.0 -
Not exciting? I realise you're probably completely zonked from lack of sleep, but honestly, paying for a front door and a holiday without dipping into savings, at the end of maternity leave, is a real achievement.
I really hope the sleep situation improves before long.Hang on in there - the sleep does get better eventually xxEek to so little sleep & being back at the coalface.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Is Mrs E going back full time or part time? It is hard leaving the baby, but DS is also with family so he's having a good time

So, my dividend payment from my Lloyds shares was a whole £3 :rotfl: not going to get very far with that kind of income! But, it's another (tiny) income stream that we've started, which I'm really pleased about. I am still focusing on dividend shares combined with funds so it's slightly less risky in that respect.
In other news, it's our car's MOT and service today, so keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't need much doing to it! Unfortunately, we have had to put this on DH's CC as we didn't have enough funds in our current account to book it in. It's payday next week though, so then we'll start to get back onto an even footing, though June will also have to be quite focused in not spending much, even though we're going on holiday for a week
Not much else to report, happy Friday!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Another weekend over; I swear the times gets quicker and quicker!
So, the car MOT and service cost us £200, which I suppose isn't too bad. We've had to put it on the CC as we didn't have the funds in our current account to pay for it, which we've never had to do before....! However, I get paid on Wednesday so it'll be paid off ASAP.
In other news, our dishwasher has broken! So, another thing that will need to be replaced. I know it's not a necessity but it definitely makes life easier. I might try and see if I can get some more stuff listed on eB to get some more funds flowing in, even if it is small. It fees like we'll be playing catch up for a while!

A new month and DS is 10 months old tomorrow
I've been involved with something very exciting, which when I can share on here, I will do so. Suffice to say, it involved a film crew being at our house last week...
Not much else to report. We have ordered a new dishwasher that will arrive on Thursday. Probably a bit of an extravagance really, but we got it £120 off and with time being tight and sleep deprivation definitely still lurking, then we think it's a need at this point in time.
Right, off to watch Game of Thrones!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
