What a coup - how on earth did you manage to get featured in a national newspaper?! :T
Being on Twitter at the right time really, plus had an interesting angle as an early retirement wannabe ;)

Wow what a great feature, congrats! Bet traffic to your blog has gone rght up :)
Thanks! It did on the day, but has pretty much gone back to normal now :)
You might not feel like it, but you are. You will realise this when you look back in a few months time, when LO is a few months older, and life is a little easier :)
I hope so; I feel a little lost at the moment, if I'm honest. The health visitor is coming back next week, not to check on DS but to check on me. My mood is a little low, I cried as soon as she came in the door this morning which is unlike me.

Quite often with a newborn, success is getting through the day, tbh - remembering to clean your teeth and brush your hair can be a success some days!!!

It's a huge change - and life is now constantly changing in smaller ways, to keep up with LO. Be easy on yourself - you have created another human being - that's a mahoosive achievement. And it gets easier along the way

    xx
Thank you; I sure hope so. I love DS to bits but it's hard work; he slept for a total of 4 hours last night so today has been long.

Having had varying degrees of PND after each of my 4 I can sympathise but HV sounds good to be recognising the possibility. I put on a front to my HV with number 1 as I disliked her and wanted to be the 'perfect' new mum, able to cope with everything. That's most definitely not what to do!!:o Difficult births and/ or first weeks can make it hard - you don't necessarily experience that 'high' which can otherwise get you through the first few weeks. If you think you - or HV thinks you - need help of some degree, please do take it. It can take many forms - With no 4 my HV came here weekly for an hour or two, just to chat every week for the first year- was on an informal basis - no full record was made and it truly was my lifesaver. A good HV is worth their weight in gold :)

    xx

That sounds really good advice from greent. I have nothing new to add, SF, just sending hugs and positive thoughts for you.

My HV is lovely and easy to talk to, which I think is fantastic. I think having someone to talk to who understands will be enough, but we shall see.

Another day done, not been anywhere and not really left the sofa. The weather has been awful here today so not got out for our walk but never mind. I've watched a lot of rubbish tv and had lots of cuddles with DS who has got a bit of a cold, so has been even more clingy than usual. He's two months old today :)

Had a NSD too; made coq au vin in the slow cooker for tea which we had with rice followed by HM apple and blackberry cake with custard. Nice, comforting food which is just what I need at the moment. I've updated my signature - my ultimate dream fund is growing.

Not much else to report; plodding along.
