Had my scan last Thursday, which was amazing. Baby was moving a lot so it took the sonographer ages to get the right things she needed. The picture we got is also not as clear as the first, due to baby no co-operating! Still, very happy and excited :smileyhea
Alex - we've already got a cot, moses basket and rocking chair, so we're off to a good startI have managed to not buy any clothes yet, though I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to resist!
Also, it's April, so once month closer! I'm on Easter hols at the moment, so trying to do as much relaxing as I can
DH is going to paint the nursery this weekend - we're having it yellow - and then we need to look at a new carpet for in there. Any suggestions on a good colour for a carpet?
I've done a roundup of March and aims for April on my blog; March was pretty hit and miss in the end, so I'm hoping to get right back on track with April. The car is booked into the garage next Thursday as it's leaking oil, but fingers crossed it'll be something easy to fix. We don't really want to spend a lot on it as we'll only be keeping it for a couple more months until we change it for something bigger.
Happy April everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Great news about the scan :T I'm feeling very excited on your behalf
As for carpets, my mum had a lovely thick, textured carpet in her bedrooms that was a sort of oatmeal colour but speckled with darker fibres. That probably sounds horrendous as I can't think how to describe it, but it was great for hiding any spills or dog hair! Would work with most colours as well in case you wanted to redecorate at any time"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." A rocking chair is a great idea, we ended up going for a regular armchair as the ones we were looking at were extortionate. Pleased enough with the armchair as an alternative, at least it will match the sofa once we retire it from being a 'feeding chair'
We went for a carpet described as 'wheat' or similar - light enough to not be brown, but bleach resistant enough that the baby can throw up all she wants and I'm not worried about it showing :rotfl:0 -
We got the rocking chair off ebay and it was only £25 - very pleased with that
so perhaps a wheat/oatmeal (are they similar colours probably?) will be the best fit

slowlyfading: Sounds like you're doing well.
I wouldn't worry about clothes, you'll be given lots as people don't seem to know what else to buy. We didn't decorate our son's room especially for him, it fits in with the rest of our house that way, he doesn't have special carpet or walls and the furniture is not out of place.
As for the car, how much oil are we talking? If it's just leaving it's mark, I wouldn't worry about it and just be sure to check it once per week before you sell, if it's leaving a puddle, that's a different matter. What sort of car are you looking for?2018 totals:

Ah, rocking chair, nursing baby. Takes me back!
I agree about the clothes, you will end up with loads. I bought second hand good quality bundles for my second. Kept him in baby grows for the first 4 months anyway so didn't need much.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
