Slimming down the debt and the body in 2013!

Hi all, time to open a new diary up for motivation to keep me on the straight and narrow. This is my 3rd diary but my old one seems to have gone a bit stale, which is why it is time for a brand new one which will keep me on track to help me clear the debt and slim down my body.
I am currently in £7,833 worth of debt and i am overweight.
My target is to reduce both of my figures with careful planning, frugal living and a healthy attitude and outlook.
Im 25, single, 2 sons aged 6 and 3.
So before i start rambling anymore, im going to cut short and wish everyone who reads A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I wish you health wealth and happiness in 2013

I will look out for your new diary clippy.
This morning i have weighed myself so i know my starting weight and then just need to sort out a proper meal plan to stick by.
I have also made a debt payment of £20 and wont be able to make anymore until tomorrow as my direct debits for my tv licence and water rates havent gone out yet. Then on thursday, i get a bit of money so can make a few small payments.
I also owe my mum money which i dont put as debt.£25 left for telly she put on her argos card. and thenn £200 for a tumble dryer which is on buy now pay later and i will be making payments throughout the year on that.PAD Maker0 -
Ok so other than cleaning today, i have also restarted my account on myfitnesspal, to help track my food. I have updated my weight on there and it has giving me a guide of what i need to have as a target for daily calories.
Once my wounds have healed (long story, hot water down my chest, very painful) i will start doing a bit more exercise. I have my wii and some dancing games, i am also going to dig out my 30 day shred dvd and start that up again and when the kids are back at school, i will walk more aswell.
I have done a meal plan for a week, my sister has given me some diet chef food that she no longer needs and that will do my lunch and dinner for 8 days. Just need to do different stuff for the kids.
Need to sort out getting our cat(4 months) sorted with jabs and spaying which is going to cost me more money.PAD Maker0 -
Think my mum is coming up today, so will be getting shopping today, not got much money but luckily its just bits that i need and not a full shop.
NSD yesterday. Tomorrow debt payments come out. DDs came out today for water and tv licence.
I have a pot of dreams saving jar, which i am putting £2 coins and 50p in which is adding up quite nicely. Also have a doggie bank which holds 1p,2p and 5p. recently bagged up £8 from it and will wait till i get more before banking itPAD Maker0 -

Hello Ihatethemoneypit, nice to see you here.
My debt started at over 16k and is now just over 50% less. I have around 6-7 stone to lose, im not going to blame the kids for ruining my body lol, i was big before kids but i am now massive, luckily not as big as some people you see on these weight loss programmes.
Have been shopping today to get the kids some food for the week, but have also stocked up on fruit to snack on, brought some meat that i will freeze in portions.
My mum has decided she is bored with always doing our shopping at the same asda store every week, so this week we have shopped at tesco and next week we then have to choose between the other supermarkets(sainsburys, morrisons, aldi, lidl)
Have just had a little dance about on just dance 3 and later i will dig out my 30 day shred, for when im ready to start itPAD Maker0 -
WOW you have done really well with your debts! I should lose 4.8 to be at the lower end of my ideal weight but life is too short and I really struggle. I have only ever been able to maintain that weight be being very strict. I am sure you can do it. If you want to be diet buddies give me a shout

lunch- tomato soup(diet chef) with 1 small bread roll
dinner- Sweet and sour chicken(diet chef) with rice
Snacks- one tiny bag of caburys buttons and one kids size diary milk (dont tell my kids ive nicked it)

Hi Mandz,
Just found you and subscribed. Sounds as though we're just about in the same boat except I'm way older than you are.
I'm back at SW tomorrow - any loss will do, but ideally I need 4+ stones to be healthy. Good luck with yours.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hello all. You should try myfitnesspal as well ihatethemoneypit it's free and easy to use. I have only used it a few days so far but found it really useful

You should try Aldi next Mandz it's sooo much cheaper for fruit and veg. I have just started going there again and think I will save loads
