Help! Ebay claim I have 2 accounts - I don't!

This has happened with us before now, too, through a shared IP address at the office.
I quite often have someone see something in the warehouse, and mention they'll give me £20 for xyz that's about to be destroyed, and it'll end on eBay (usually old stock).
They're generally useless at the best of times, so good luck!

because my mum had an account and I started to sell on ebay, I created my own and then I had an email telling me that it is a duplicate account!
I called them and emailed them and they were useless. In the end I just gave up and haven't sold on ebay since because they won't understand we will have the same address and landline number!
That was not the reason you had issues, the same postal address and landline number is OK. I have 4 active accounts and 2 dormant, all with the same geographic address and landline number and that is allowed.
Opening a new one will mean another breach and it will be closed again at some point in the future.frappuchino wrote: »Good luck. That has happened to me and ebay didn't even wanna hear any of it, they cancelled my account and that was it as much as I tried to explain. Shared IP address is not a reason for a ban.
You can use another person's computer to log into your Ebay account without any worry at all.
When accounts are linked it is because they share certain aspects such as bank accounts, paypal accounts, bidding on each others items and so on.
There always will be a direct link between accounts before either one of them is restricted or banned.
Ebay are not stupid and don't go around banning sellers just for sharing IP addresses.0
