Hi all, I am curious if a dealer can retrieve a cars service history and add power assisted steering if this car did not have either when he purchased it?

If it has been serviced at a franchised dealer than yes. Retro power steering- sounds expensive and pointless when you just buy every other car with PAS.
What car is it?0 -
It is a Y reg Ford KA.0

If the dealer is a main agent for that brand of car then he can find out service history that's been done with any main agent I think. If servicings been done independently then no.
Yes he could add power steering but would be unlikely to as it would be rather involved!0 -
We p/x it with the dealer for a Focus not long ago and found out he added these two features on website so I am curious if that is possible or he is telling porkies0

He is just a car dealer not a main agent.0

Give me £1000 and i will fit power steering for you. Attached to the rack will be a shiny new car on a 2002 plate.
Want power steering buy a new car. Whats the service history got to do with it?
Do you think someone stole the powersteering?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Just want to know if the dealer is honest or not. If we sold him the car without either of them, how would he get hold of the service history and like what u said no point of putting PAS0
