There you go SaverBuyer - heres evidence that the market for even a 2 bed townhouse in waringstown is > £80,000. Just imagine what my 4 bed detached is worth! :j
. so then just imagine what it would have been worth back in 2008 when you got the EA out to try to sell??!

but then didn`t your EA only give you an estimate of £80k for a quick sale (or so you say)??

and stranger still you have told us and i quote "It probably peaked at around £250,000 in 2007 / 2008"

so according to you, inside 12 months your house went from a quarter of a million down to £80k... are you expecting anybody to believe that??

I`ve been following house prices in Waringstown since 2006 and i know these figures are a crock of horse manure.

C`mon paul tell it how it is,

was it not a case of dipping into the property lark at the wrong time and getting burnt?

    Guys,

This bickering is distracting too much from the thread in hand.

As such i've removed my posts and will be commenting no further on my own personal circumstances, i posted initially to give an input and with the best of intentions but it has become a distraction to the thread.

    Thanks

    Paul

What's the story with that "bijou" (although probably deceptively spacious) ghost estate at the start of the Dunkirk Road? I heard some lad from Newry went bust and NAMA took it. Is it right it's they who
are finishing them, supposedly to increase value?
Now that I think of it, that if true can only depress prices further by increasing supply.

I think you're the bigger man for it. Well done. :)

Come on now. Let it drop. No offence was intended towards you and I certainly hope you didn't take any? :)

Someone is "the bigger man" because they deleted their posts yet still managed to snipe "others seem to simply want an argument on the internet" as their very last sentence.

On what planet is that being "the bigger man"?

Anyway, the whole story, dates, figures, "expert advice" (how can such a cluster of poor advice be called expert is beyond me) just didn't add up and posters get attacked for pointing it out.

There's nothing I hate more on open forum is when people don't like what they hear and throw the toys out of the pram and delete their post.

    Yes, much bigger man.

You know, you're right. I shouldnt have put that.

I've removed it as i can how it would be considered inflamatory.

Come on now oul hand. I wasn't intending to snipe at you and I see Motorguy has amended his post to remove what was annoying you.

Nobody is deliberately trying to wind you up. :)

No no, still here. No toy throwing was done. Just got a bit weary of it all.

When you see some of the other threads running of the dire straights people are in because of the state of the housing market, well i guess it puts it in perspective how luck we all are on here.
