Excellent start to the new year good job on the redesign!
Maybe worthwhile clarifying te difference between city center ad downtown for people?
Also worth mentioning how much drink prices can be at hotel bars when not bring comped0 -
Currently booking our trip to vegas and not been for 3-4 years, feeling a bit sad the way vegas has gone, when I was there in the early 2000's was really interesting place were the casinos were the attractions. Now every time I've been back its a little more bland every time, interesting and fun hotels replaced with generic 5 Star seemingly themeless hotels since my last visit in 09 we have lost Sahara, ip, Fitzgerald, o Shea's the lions at mgm etc... And replaced with what ? Nonspecific class 5 star hotels and condos, will vegas loose its appeal with the loss of its history and individuality? ( reflections in bed while Ill with this norovirus)0

Car Hire. Most companies eg rentalcars.com, allow pickup/dropoff in Nevada Arizona and California, and one way journeys, but make sure they note as such on your voucher. Then if the dollar/hertz etc get it wrong, you are protected by your rentalcars voucher. Vegas to LAX is the easiest journey in the world i.e. turn right at Caesars, turn left at the lights, drive straight for 300 miles, turn right into the LAX rental center.illegitimi non carborundum0

haha, nice easy route then LAX to LAS!
Our original plan was to fly to LAX and then drive, but am finding i am just checking flights + flight/hotel deals daily, and nothing is looking good.....
Kicking myself, as the last cheap deal that was about was on the 3rd december (for may 22nd to jun 1st)... since the 3rd of dec, prices have been £170 each moreno matter how i look at any options!
Even looked at flights to Phoenix/san diego and san fran!
grrrrrrrrrr !!!!
Wonder if flights will drop in price in March ready for May, etc ??0 -

it looks like the only way is to signup online for their players club "Identity" card - which is a shame to do online as they usually offer some good freebies when you signup in person.0 -

Hi all Vegasites, thanks for the new thread and thanks to all who contribute to this excellent resource.
Well we're on the countdown, head off at the end of the month, we'll be there for Superbowl which should be interesting as it not something I really take notice of but hubby is excited.
We've converted our dollars beforehand this time but I usually now just take my English money and convert at the casino cages, best rate given of course.
Another tip, our car hire came through, the delightful Dollar again, I am a Dollar Express member which means we waltz right past the queues at the car hire area and head straight to the garage and get our car there.

I've a few new places to explore this time round and we're there for 10 days so will let you all know how we get on.
We're staying at the Paris this time, I may even try the $20 trick, although it'll be more as we're there for the 10 days.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08
